Are there any good nail salons in the mrytle beach area?

I’ve just moved to Mrytle Beach from central New Jersey, where we had practically everything. I’m leaning what exactly Mrytle Beach has to offer and my mom suggested I find a nail parlor around to do my nails. I think it’s a great idea! My new job also requires me to look good (or at least presentable) because I’m representing the company and other brands. So I think getting my nails done regularly (when I have the money) would be a good idea.

I want a place that can do designs, just simple ones for now. Also it needs to be affordable- under $100 preferably, but I understand if that’s not enough, I’ll adjust my budget accordingly.

If anybody has any business recommendations please let me know!

I can’t find cute work clothes…

I finally got a job! I’ve posted here before asking for fashion advice, and now I need help finding clothes again. Combing through website after website is taking so long.

I don’t want to say my job for privacy reasons, but I’m doing face to face sales (kinda). I’ll be outside a lot of the day, so I’d like to avoid black, but I understand if it’s the best I can get. The attire is business casual, and I have to look presentable because I’m dealing with people a lot.

I look really good in colors, dresses, maxi and midi skirts. I can’t wear button up shirts because of my chest, the buttons never stay closed / the fabric pulls away from the buttons awkwardly. When it comes to jackets I have fat arms, and shoulder pads look awkward on me. I can wear cardigans, but since I’ll be outside I won’t wear them too much.

If anybody knows of any specific pieces or brands that have good stuff like this, please let me know. Please don’t suggest Torrid or Lane Bryant or Lands End, I’ve already gotten the cutest pieces I like that they have in stock. Unless there’s a specifically cute piece from them, or they’ve just dropped new items, please don’t recommend them.

Price isn’t a problem right now, at this point I’m willing to spend whatever because I start on Monday, and I should order ASAP. I’ll even pay for express shipping. So suggest pieces or brands, please just help. I’m a size 22-24 (US 3X).

Thank you in advance for reading and possibly helping!

Is selling my crafts a decent side hustle?

I used to make scrunchies back when I sewed. I’m getting back into crafting and think I could sell scrunchies. I also crochet, but I’m nowhere good enough to sell my crochet.

I recently visited my auntie for the first time in years and have been getting closer with her since, and I’ve learned she’s gotten into sewing and attends craft fairs. She has a good paying job so this is more of a hobby for her, but I think I would enjoy attending craft fairs.

Anyways, is there actually a market for sewn items? My best work is with scrunchies, but I once made a kimono (although it was for a doll), and I made clothes once when I was younger. I can probably figure those things out again, but I’d prefer to sell my scrunchies.

I also used to make handmade jewelry. Genuinely really good jewelry. Like with pearls or stones and real clasps. It would be an investment to get back into making jewelry, even has a hobby, so being able to sell my creations would be really awesome.

I would attach pictures of my creations but I just moved and didn’t bring any of my finished crafts with me to save space (I left them in my room in my family home). So unfortunately I can’t show examples so people can judge whether it would be worth any money. But even without pictures, so any of you hustlers know if I can make this a side hustle? Even $50-100 a week from this would make a huge difference for me- the state I just moved to has an incredibly low minimum wage.

Because of the low minimum wage I was advised to try side hustles, and I would get a second job but I’d honestly burn out (trust me, my mental health can’t handle a second job). I think turning my hobbies into side hustles could really help me. So do you think this could be a side hustle?

I’m 22 and don’t know how to meet people my age

I’m 22, and I’ve just moved out of my family home to live alone for the first time ever. There’s so much I don’t know about living alone, but that’s not the issue of the post. The issue is I don’t know how to meet people. And I need friends.

The only way I’ve made friends in the past is either through school, or online. I have one friend from college (my college experience is difficult and a mess, but it looks like rn I’m gonna be a community college dropout) and I don’t even know how I’ve maintained that friendship. I have like 2 friends from middle school and high school, and they’re ride or dies. I say all this to explain that my friendships from school were hard as well, and I’ve struggled keeping friends my whole life.

Now in this new area, I know nobody. I have no family in the area either. I’m not attending college right now, so I can’t make friends that way. So how do I do it? How do I meet other young adults and become friends? The jobs I’m applying to also aren’t jobs where my coworkers would be young like me- and even then I’m not sure work is the right place to make friends.

I want to be able to be social. I hung out with IRL friends once in a blue moon, so I’ve not been in social settings with young adults really ever. No parties, no meetups, no clubs, nothing.

I want to go out to eat with people. I want to watch tv shows with people. Idk what else people even do actually.

It doesn’t help that I have mental health issues. I don’t think many people want to be friends with somebody with so many issues.

Anyways, how do i meet people?

I’m moving and I’m scared

I’m 22 and I’ll moving soon. It’ll be my first time living alone, which is already daunting, and I’ll have all these extra responsibilities. I’ll have to do all the chores myself, which doesn’t sound like a big deal I guess, but I come from a family of five so I’m used to the tasks being divided. I’ll have to keep to a schedule, and cook for myself, and budget money. I’m not good with money. My family will be states away, so if something happens I’m on my own.

What I’m most afraid of is not being able to find a job. I have interviews lined up for when I get to the area, but what if they don’t want me? I have no college degree (I’ve taken a break for my mental health), I’m disabled (autism + mentally ill), and my work experience is minimal. I’m trying to stay positive, but one of my friends keeps telling me the job market is shit and that I shouldn’t be surprised if it takes me a while to find a job. That’s not very encouraging. Luckily I’m moving into a family member’s place (they aren’t using the apartment right now) and will have significantly discounted rent, and I don’t have to pay for a while because I need to get my footing. So rent isn’t really scary- it’s just… I need a job.

Part of this move is for my mental health. I’m bipolar and my mom thinks the darker seasons (fall and winter) affect my depressive episodes. So I’m moving to a state that’s sunny year round, and maybe that’ll help me. Another part is because I need to become independent- I can’t live at home forever. I’m so scared that I’ll fail on my own and have to move back home. I know it’s up to me to make it work, but I’m so worried I won’t be able to make it on my own. I don’t know how to ease my anxiety about this move.

I’m afraid, very afraid. The anxiety comes creeping back in when I think I’ve thought through the move. I feel wildly unprepared, but this has to happen because my family situation is.. complicated. I’m not sure what to do.

Comfortable heels for somebody with wide feet?

I don’t want to wear heels that are too large, ideally small ones. Except I have wide feet, and my feet are a little swollen. Does anybody know any good shoe brands that have cute shoes that are good for wide/swollen feet? I just need like three pairs- sneakers, flats, and small heels. If anybody has any brands please let me know.

I need more clothes (repost)

I’m reposting because I chose the wrong flair, I hope this is acceptable!

Hi! I’ve recently decided to start dressing nicer after a heart to heart with my auntie. I’ve been encouraged to try to love my body, and stop hiding myself in sweats and loungewear. I need casual clothes and office casual for jobs I’m applying to + a social life. I’m actually moving states for this new job, I’m moving from up north to a hotter climate (kind of south, but not Florida type of heat).

I need clothes that are under $60 preferably, in a size 3x (22-24). I also like to buy from “ethical” brands, and NO fast fashion (Shein and similar businesses are out of the question). My mom is helping me afford some clothes, and I’m going to save up once I get a job, but right now I desperately need a new wardrobe. Currently I have 4 dresses, 1 blouse, and 1 pair of pants. Only 2 outfits (one dress and the blouse + pants combo) are acceptable for a business place. They’re also floral, but hopefully that’s accepted.

I like light colors, pink especially. I have an issue with sequins (sensory issues) and tulle that directly touches my skin. I also appreciate florals and other fun prints. If anybody knows of any good websites, please let me know. Links to specific clothes is also appreciated!

Note: I’ve already tried Lane Bryant, Yours Clothing, and Torrid. I’ve gone through those websites and picked out everything I like from them, but it’s still not enough business casual.
