Fabrics-store linen comparison

Hello everyone, I've been on the hunt for a more or less opaque linen and have seen Fabrics-store.com recommended by many on this sub and elsewhere, so I ordered a handful of samples of their various weights in bleached white. Here's what I got (pictured). Hope this helps future linen hunters.

Most successful Ajovy injection site management yet

Some of you may have seen my previous posts about tattoo pain vs. the Ajovy and similar auto-injector jab. Well, I'm back with another update from this tattoo + migraine journey I'm on.

I was just lamenting how itchy the injection site rash was this time, after my jab a few hours ago. I guess I didn't ice it enough afterwards. But as I was getting ready for an itchy, sleepless night, I remembered some of the tattoo supplies I got: lidocaine cream and second skin. I didn't end up using either for my tattoo, but I slathered on a good layer of lidocaine on my Ajovy rash and stuck on some second skin on top of that, and now my leg just feels like my leg again instead of making me want to scratch my skin off. Huge win! I left it on until it was thoroughly numb then removed it and wiped away the extra before going to bed. Lidocaine cream is also used for hemorrhoids, and second skin has other medical applications--I first used it to keep ECG stickers dry to bathe when I did a (migraine-related) holter heart monitor.

Tl;dr: Ajovy rash + lidocaine cream + second skin = no more itch (follow lidocaine package instructions)

EDIT: Update: Still not itchy even the next day! Huzzah!

Ajovy injection does, in fact, hurt worse than a tattoo ime

Some of you may have seen my post a few weeks back asking about people's experience with auto-injectors vs. tattoos, and how they'd compare the pain. Well, I got my first tattoo yesterday, and it wasn't bad! Some parts were painful (particularly, sections that she had to go over more than once for the colors) but even the worst of it I would say is more tolerable than the Ajovy injections I take. The worst parts of my tattoo made my wince/twitch. The auto-injector makes me swear like a sailor for the first ~20 seconds lol, and it takes all of my willpower to keep my hand down and not release it early. The tattoo was obviously longer. Anyway, I guess I'd say: if you're worried about tattoo pain because you're a pansy with the auto-injector, it might not be as bad as you fear. Alternatively... if you're about to start on a monthly auto-injector... good luck 🥲

How would you describe the pain? + how to not be bored

I'm getting a similar tattoo by the same artist done on my forearm. It'll be my first tattoo, and I'm curious about what I should expect. I haven't got one done previously both for monetary reasons and also because I was afraid of the pain, but I've got a decent salary now and have been through enough shit in the past several years that I no longer fear or dread the experience (though I understand it won't exactly be fun).

Not in a pain scale way, how would you describe the pain of getting it done? I've read things like a continuous cat scratch and scratching a bad sunburn. Edit: I'm less interested in how much it could hurt, and more interested in qualitative descriptions.

Additionally... how do you pass the time? I won't have two useful hand so my nintendo switch isn't really an option. I was thinking maybe an audio book, though I'd like it to at least partially take my focus off of the tattoo itself, so the time passes faster. It'll be a roughly 6 hour session.

Match for the "espresso" color from this palette?

I bought this I Heart Revolution Tasty Coffee eyeshadow palette for Revolution Beauty years ago. I don't wear eyeshadow much anymore, but the espresso color (top left on the palette) matches my eyebrows exactly, and has become an invaluable part of my makeup kit because of it. Everything else I've found is either a brown with too much red as an undertone, or is grey with no brown, the latter being closer to my very ashy hair color. I'm desperate to find an ongoing replacement before I actually run out. Does anyone have any suggestions I should try?

From a 4" pot to a..... very large one. Out of all the plants I've kept over the years, this billietiae has been the easiest to care for, and the strongest grower. I've cut the top off, air layered it to cut the bottom off, and cut the bottom leaves to bury more of the stem just to keep it manageable over time. I wanted it a long time before I bought it (it was quite expensive at the time) and it's still my favorite plant.
