Help keep this sub from being interfered with

I’m seeing more and more bot like commenting here. Here is the easiest way we can keep this sub clean. Check the profile of the commenters. If the account is under two months old block em. If the comment has hidden their comment history block em. If the account is older hbut hasn’t posted anywhere until now( a sleeper account) block em. Keep the bots out.

Great southern bank ad- really bothers me

Has anyone seen this ad? The line is the girl
In the ad works full time and has a second side gig that helps her save for for house deposit. This really bothers me, inferring that one job isn’t enough to save for a deposit, it’s like the banks want to keep wages down and have everyone working multiple jobs to own a home. I’m not naive , I know the world is tending this way but this in your face advertising seems to me to be something we should frown upon

Freedom of speech is a fundamental absolute regardless of your opinion

I feel like this one is less popular these days, but people fought and died for it. And now it seems to be diminished under many guises. Talk is not action and I’m tired of people saying ideas are dangerous . That’s bullshit , action is dangerous and anything that suggests that words are dangerous is scared that word become actions. Which is just plain censorship.

Treaties only work in times of war

I live in Australia and the treaty debate is still raging hot here with the indigenous population claiming the need for a treaty as our country wasn’t empty when Britain settled here, effectively an invasion. So we are supposedly a country at war for over 200 years with its indigenous people. Normally when a treaty is signed it’s because a war happened and the other party was roundly beaten and “made “ to sign a treaty accepting defeat. It seems to me this approach of living in the country and demanding a treaty without ever being “defeated” seems a stupidly niece understanding of power . Do these people think that the government will cede land or power just just they were on the land first or are they expecting a formal war or just thinking they can argue out of an obvious defeat?
