I just finished y the last man

After reading saga and y the last man i'm gonna read everything brian k vaughan made, maybe even the superhero stuff even though super heroes are my least favorite kind of comics. Amazing story that reminds me of one of my favorite movies children of men. I'm so happy i started reading comics finally, right before this one i read preacher for the first time and i have been having such a fun time way more than when i was just watching hollywood movies, comics are where it's at, especially the creator owned stuff

When Monstress gets good

I started reading monstress after saga cause i thought the art looked cool and wanted to try out more fantasy after reading fables. Plus i was interested to read a comic by a female author as those are pretty rare in the comics scene. I have to say though it is a SLOW ASS BURN in the beggining. I almost gave up a couple times cause i was bored but i will say around issue 30 it FINALLY picks up and becomes a much faster and more action packed read. However then i got to the golga arc where the characters are stuck in the monstrum prison and it suffered from that same awful slow pacing the beginning did and i was just forcing myself to get through the arc. Now that i literally just finished that arc i'm hoping it gets back to the juicy stuff. When this comic is good it's enthralling but when it's bad it's BORING. Overall i'd still recommend it though i'm on issue 49 as of tonight. Overall i would give it an 8/10 with better pacing it would be an easy 10. For those that have read monstress what do y'all think?

Edit: Also i would like to add ren is the goat

Need help understanding this kubrick movie

So a few months ago when i was doing my kubrick marathon, I got to his movie "Dr. Strangelove" and was genuinely confused by the end. On most movie apps it id described as a comedy but i sincerely don't understand the humor, i'm not trying to be an ass i'm serious, can someone explain the jokes in this movie? The only part i laughed at was "Gentlemen there's no fighting in the war room". It could just be i'm too smooth brained to understand the humor, but after watching every other kubrick movie (except lolita i refuse to watch that) he doesn't strike me as a funny individual. Again any help is appreciated. I'm still glad i watched it i just didn't "get" it

Are tank girl and saga worth checking out?

These 2 comics (mostly from the art i have no idea what either are about, but i want to read more comics and image has earned my trust through kirkmans works) have caught my eye and i see they are both pretty long, i'm wondering if they are worth reading? Tank girl looks sick but i know i am not a fan of the gorillaz who i think i head had a hand in tank girl. Although i feel that shouldn't matter cause one is music the other is a comic. Anyways let me know if y'all have read these and if they are any good

Finally started the comic

Hey y'all 've been a fan of walking dead since about 2014 when i started watching the show in secret (i was 14 at the time and my parents didn't allow me to watch the show so i would go to friends houses and watch it on their netflix) so i have been a fan for some time. I even finished the whole show (season 10 was the worst, and season 11 gets too much hate imo i think it's solid) but somehow i never read the comics. Since invincible started airing I finally picked up the comic and read the whole thing along with all the spinoffs. Legit the best comic i have ever read and i feel i owe it to kirkman to read all his work now cause invincible had such a drastic emotional effect on me. So i am knocking out the walking dead now cause i believe it's his longest series. I am at about the middle of season 3 but in the comics and so far while i do prefer the show I am so excited to be reading this. Also one silver lining of starting so late is that i get to read the COLORED prints which adds such a cool dimension. While i prefer the show i have a feeling once i get to season 7 in the comics that will quickly change XD Love this series and robert kirkman, finishing invincible left a void in me just knowing experiencing a story that great is a once in a life time kind of thing. I just love kirkman so much he takes stories where other writers dare not go and he has one of the best imaginations in the business. Wish me luck y'all

Question about Taylor Acorn

So i am checking her out on spotify cause it says she is similar to rory, but her early stuff is just POP pop, does anyine know when she made the transition into pop PUNK? An album or ep or single

Edit: Hey Guys thank you so much for helping me out you showed me so many awesome songs and totally helped answer my question. Not to mention you gave me more artists/bands to listen to on top of Taylor. Now it;s my turn, if you haven't checked out the singer Rory yet, do yourself a favor and start with her song "Uncomplicated" It is pure pop punk perfection and one of my favorite pop punk songs ever. She has 3 albums out and a couple metal songs out (degradation being the best) please do yourself a favor and check em she is incredible
