currently located in west valley and have had absolutely zero luck with my applica for both student and off-campus jobs. what is the dealio? my resume looks good, my CV looks good, my cover letters look good. where tf do i even apply? i need help guys.
is anyone enrolled in a chm 238 lab for the fall at west campus? i’m trying to enroll but the only open options are for downtown and polytech, and it’s a class i actually really need for my spring classes. (bch 371 and some ptx classes). does anyone know what i can do? also, are the recitation classes mandatory? the thing i like about the west campus ones is that they don’t have a separate class for recitation
got as a mother’s day gift for my mom, and honestly the plant was thriving until about two weeks ago. the roots are either hard or just very crumply. my mom repotted the plant in a bark/moss mixture. is there any way we can save it? i’m pretty sure she watered the plant every wednesday, so once a week. the plant also has enough indirect sunlight that is still bright but not harmful. i’m pretty sure the problem was caused by the bark mixture.

I’m trying to transfer from online to in-person but I’m unable to see my housing options and can’t commit to transferring in-person unless I know I will have housing. :(
title says it all… i’m trying to transfer in-person from ASU online, but there are basically no options for “transfer” scholarships if i want to go to ASU in-person, at least that i know of. is there anyone who has had any ASU specific or external scholarships they recommend to meet their financial need, especially when transferring from online? this is a long shot i know, but genuinely i don’t know what to do.
i love being an online student but hate it at the same time. it’s literally fucking impossible to obtain rec’s unless you’re literally living up the professor’s ass. i can’t get internships because i don’t have hands-on experience. i can’t join clubs or organizations that i actually want to join because they’re all on campus. i can’t be invited to certain honors societies or programs because i’m not in person. i’m not eligible for full scholarships because i’m not in person. genuinely wtf do we do? i understand asu online is primarily aimed towards working adults, but how tf are we supposed to move up in the world when there are absolutely zero resources for us to do so? and i don’t want to have to transfer in person because i fear i CANNOT learn in a classroom for the life of me unless it is a smaller sized class and the professor actually knows what they’re doing.

Hi! Hopefully mods don’t take this down because I genuinely need some input. My mother and I are planning on moving to the vally sometime next year, but I wanted to plan my options out early. I’m an online student at ASU so I don’t need to be that close to the West Valley campus, but I still wanted to be within the general area. We also have both experienced a break-in back in 2016 so we’re still traumatized from that and need somewhere safe to live. We also have two lap dogs but they’re both my mom’s for her emotional needs due to PTSD. Any suggestions? I also have a vehicle so no need to be close to any bus routes or anything.
So I was just wondering if it were worth it, as an online student, to tranfer to on-campus instead of online. I feel like I miss out on sooooo many opportunities just because I’m an online student, plus the fact that I basically don’t have any way of gaining hands-on experience both with classes and with general research. If anyone has done it before or wanted to do it before, could I please be advised on this. My other thought was just staying online but moving to the Phoenix area so I can still do online courses but have the opportunity to do more hands-on activities and research. I honestly love online because it’s very flexible and I feel like I retained so much info compared to my high school courses which were in person, so idk if it’s even worth it.

hey guys. so a couple months ago i was told i was accepted into the SHPEP program at UW for public health, and when i was first admitted i told them i was taking a couple classes online at the same time. i was just told this morning (after literally booking my flight and changing around my entire schedule) that they won’t allow me to participate because of my classes. now my entire summer is free and i have no idea what internships to apply to considering it’s already May and most of them are closed. does anyone have any recommendations? i’m looking for something in general science, forensic science, or public health.

i just wanted to see if anyone knows what type pf rewards are given out during graduation. i know i don’t qualify for the moeur award since i transferred out for one semester then came back, but i just wanted to see if there were any others for high achieving students? or even just some that are for specific groups or individuals. are there any that we can apply for ourselves or are most of them nomination based? i tried to look it up but couldn’t really find anything.
