WFH mom with a 5 month old

So I am starting a new job! I’ll be working from home with my 5 month old. It’s pretty perfect, they know my baby will be with me, hours are flexible. It will be around 20-30hr a week, with some weeks being closer to 40. The plan is to have baby at home till a year with me and then reevaluate what our needs are with him regarding part time daycare or continue at home with me.

What are your suggestions to be successful? If anyone has pictures of their home set ups, I would appreciate it.

Here is my current plan:
- baby wearing as much as possible
- walking pad for standing desk for when baby wearing
- noise cancelling headphone/set ESOP 600T
- work when baby is sleeping ie early mornings and naps
- be flexible

Thank you for all the feedback!

Hiking carrier or Tula for vacation

I need some advice!

So I need to get a new carrier for my 5 month old and need one for longer wears. I’m planning on getting a Tula and just need to decide on a pattern I like, I don’t know why that part is so hard!

That being said… we are going to the Grand Tetons when baby is around 6.5-7months old for a wedding. We will spend some of the trip hiking and doing the Katy Trail. Do you all think we will be ok with the Tula or should we get a hiking carrier for the trip? Price isn’t a concern, there are a few for sale on Facebook marketplace near us for $25-$50 that we can get that are the more recommended brands.

Thank you for the recommendations!

Legal things to do…

Besides using our voices to go to city council meetings, signing petitions and protesting… what else can we do? What legally can we do to stop these from being built?

All I can think of is planting local endangered plants around the job site hoping that it invades and stops construction. I don’t have enough funds to purchase that many plants. So what do we do? What are our legal options to stop this mayhem and quickly!

Scar massage

I do scar massage daily and it’s great /s

My top incision scar has responded pretty well, my internal one really doesn’t seem to be responding as well. What worked for you all? I need one advice because I’m annoyed.

I’m 4.5 months out and been doing massages daily since 6 weeks.

Vintage store/thrift shop search - vintage stenay gown

Im desperately trying to find this dress to wear to my SIL wedding in August. Has anyone seen this dress in any of the vintage/thrift stores around town. I have a 4 month old and visiting every store in town is harder than I can put into words.

Fingers crossed this might lead me in the right direction.

Im going to this town hall Saturday. What questions should I ask and you want answers too?

I am planning on recording it and posting the town hall. I realize not everyone can go and want to make sure everyone’s voices are heard. So post your questions away!
