LTX Industries v2 has been released!

Well, I've almost entirely revamped the progression tree of my mod for this update so I figured I'd jump all the way to v2 instead of v1.5 like I originally planned.

I added a lot of materials to LTXI. I might miss some, but off the top of my head: Silver, Sodium, Silicon, Phosphorus, Sulfur, Peridotite (including a decorative building set and dust for resource processing), Olivine, Pyroxene, Fluorite, Silicone Rubber, and Fluoropolymer.

For fluids, I've added Methane, Sulphurine, Hydrochloric Acid, Ammonia, Hydrofluoric Acid, and Silicone Oil. Viridic Acid has been replaced by Sulfuric Acid, though it retains the same appearance and theme for the most part.

New metals for progression are also here, Tungsten-Plated Slatesteel (midgame) and Rhenium (endgame).

Plate items (yes I know people love microcrafting with these) have been added for Copper, Gold, Titanium, Silver, Niobium, Rhenium, Silicon, Slatesteel, Tungsten-Plated Slatesteel, Polymer, and Fluoropolymer.

A second circuit board has been added, the Elite Circuit Board. The normal Circuit board can now only make T1-T3 circuits, while the Elite Circuit Board can make all 5 tiers with the silicon-phosphorus-crystal composite Logic Cores/Nano-Logic Cores.

New machines have been added! The Atmospheric Scrubber for collecting ambient fluids and gases or localized fluids and gases from certain locations. It is currently the only way to obtain Argon and Methane. The Material Press for making plates and gears efficiently. Finally the HydroSieve. It can make flint but more importantly it is used to farm Raw Olivine and Raw Fluorite, and it is the second machine in the ore processing line.

Speaking of which: I've removed the one-stage ore pebbles mechanic and replaced it with a five-stage ore processing chain. The first stage remains in the Grinder and is a guaranteed doubling. The subsequent stages in the HydroSieve (2), Voltaic Injector (3), Chem Lab (4), and ElectroCentrifuge (5) have a 50% of doubling. On average, this is about a 10x yield per raw ore item. However, all stages aside from the first must be unlocked via upgrade modules, and these require materials from roughly the progression stage you are in. Stage 4 and 5 use Sulfuric Acid and Hydrochloric Acid as well, so you'll have to set up a supply line for those.

Finally, weaponry. Because of the difficulty spike in the mod, weapon energy items, the Ammo Scavenger enchantment, and all related upgrades have been removed. Weapons now natively use the Common Energy (CE/FE) reload source. They've also received some slight stat increases. Yay.

Another LTX Industries drop has arrived (v1.3.0)

The spirit of Mojang has possessed me and I'm inadvertently releasing dropslop smaller but more frequent updates.

Anyway, v1.3.0 added a fairly frequently requested feature: Power Generators! To begin with, only 2 early game options have been created: the Portable Generator and the Solar Panel.

The Portable Generator generates 40 CE/t using burnable furnace fuel items, and the Solar Panel generates 25 CE/t passively during the daytime (and exposed to the sky obv.)

An upgrade path will likely come very soon to allow them to scale into the midgame but I need more time to map out the numbers and all.

LTX Industries v.1.2.0 release! Portable tanks are here and... that's it

LTXI v.1.2.0 has just released and with it the new Portable Tank! Yes... that's all the new content I have for this drop. Admittedly, I spent far longer than I should have on these guys but I wanted to get them right. Also, because I re-wrote a good chunk of the underlying base code to add these in.

I also added 2 special named tank variants: the Bathyal Water Tank and the Infernal Lava Tank. They hold/provide/transfer an infinite (2,147,483,647 mB if we want to be exact) amount of water and lava, respectively. If enabled, the auto output pushes this amount ever 5 ticks to each side. Only the Bathyal Water Tank is obtainable in survival. I'll leave the obtainability (and recipe) to pack makers since infinite Lava is a much more debatable balance point.

But as far as existing content goes, there's been 2 changes to key progression points. Spark Fruits can now be obtained via trading from Farmer villagers and the Wandering Trader. Because it is needed for basic things such as the Energy Cell Array, having an exploration gate that early seemed off. The other resources remain exploration-locked as they either come much later or have much more consistent spawn locations. The other change is that the upgrade module recipes for the Energy Cell Array have been reworked. Instead of all 5 ranks being made in the Fabricator, their new recipes are made as such: Ranks 1-2 in the regular crafting table, Ranks 3-4 in the Assembler, Rank 5 remains in the Fabricator. This was done to match the new Portable Tank upgrade line and because having all ranks be Fabricator locked was too skewed towards the midgame.

EDIT: Wait for v1.2.1. Should be live soon and I'll edit the link when it does. I'm dumb and forgot I had reverted a datagen thing for titanium gears.

How to deal with the warden in the new v1.1.0 Gloomy Update [LTX Industries]

I hate this thing. No amount of 'muh themes' or 'it's not meant to be fought' will ever change how much I hate this walking cheat code. So, my mod's solution is to become one yourself! For context, this is on normal difficulty and I'm wearing the equivalent of unenchanted diamond armor. It deals only 1-1.5ish hearts of damage, plus it also makes the sonic boom a joke.

What's new?

The effect isn't new, you probably know it was known as Neuro. In this update I completely renamed everything related to the old 'Neuro' theme. Now it's all Gloom themed to match the Gloom Shroom. The new Gloom Gas shell for the Hanabi has a new particle and impact SFX, shown in the clip. I personally think it's a big improvement.

If you didn't already know, the Gloom Effect is quite helpful:

  • Blocks all outbound status effect from affected target (all levels)
  • Blocks inbound beneficial status effects on target (all levels)
  • Per level, 25% damage reduction.

Hanabi's Gloom Gas shells apply Gloom III, resulting in the 75% damage reduction (+ removal of blinding ability).

As always, all feedback and suggestions (except ports, please don't) is welcome. I am aware of 2 emerging suggestions, a more standardized target selector and adjustable glow colors for equipment. The target selector may come soon, I just have to see how difficult making the screen for that would be. Colors are still a maybe, but if they do happen it would be for items only because it's not feasible for blocks.

Updates

I've been busy this week adding bits and pieces to LTX Industries. And with today's v1.0.7 release I'm happy to announce that the Guide Tablet is back and so is the AE2 integration module, bringing it fully back to it's 1.21.1 state. The Repair Station has returned (formerly the Molecular Reconstructor).

I also realized I didn't really do a good job of showing off the extent of what you can do with the mod in the last post, so I've uploaded lineups of not just the weapons but also the ε-Series toolset, the Wonderland armor set, and some (not all) of the machinery.

New Mod

To consolidate posts, I've also released a new mod yesterday: Easy Melee Tempo. It's a very small clientside mod that only allows you to attack when your strength gauge is full. I was inspired to re-create it for NeoForge after seeing similar mods that were stuck on older versions. It is currently for 1.21.1, but I should also have it out for 26.1.2 in a day or two.

LTX Industries release

Sorry for the click bait cringe, this is in no way related to the old TechGuns mod. It is however, the official release of v1.0.0 of LTX Industries for MC 26.1.2! Aside from the port, there has been some fundamental changes from the 1.21.1 version. If you aren't new to this mod, I think you'll like the upgrade system overhaul.

Signature series weaponry

All of the signature series weaponry has received a brand new coat of paint and animations. And joining the collection is the Mirage 13/CX (third from left), a 600 RPM light-frag auto rifle and Serenity 11/PX's sister weapon.

Upgrade system unification

I think I already posted this in a previous progress preview, but it's the most important change so I'll put it here again. The equipment/machine upgrade registry split is gone. Reduced to atoms. There is now one upgrade registry, and upgrades (which are data pack objects BTW) can be configured to be installable on both machines and equipment. Yes, most remain exclusive to either equipment or machines, but some like the Combat Subspace Link and the targeting filter modules are now shared between weapons and turrets.

Roadmap

This is only the first release. 26.1.2 is still somewhat experimental so there's work to be done. In this order, here's what's next:

  • Restore GuideME integration
  • Bring back the Repair Station (removed for remodel/turning into single block)
  • Restore AE2 compatibility plugin

I don't want give LTXI the good old Thermal Expansion 'streamlining', so I am making restoring the mod to it's full 1.21.1 state my top priority.

Downloads/feedback

There's probably some important detail that I missed in the post as usual, so if something's unclear you should definitely ask! Here's a little FAQ though:

  • 1.20?: If you would please consult my flair
  • What happens to LTXI v0.x on 1.21.1?: Due to the extensive breaking changes and some model features being exclusive to 26.x, I have dropped 1.21.1. Due to recent inclusion in packs I am available to fix critical bugs, but it will not receive any feature updates.
