Not sure if he’s a void but I found him on my porch this morning

Found this cutie pie on my porch this morning. Trying to find his owner, but in the meantime, he is a super sweet boy and we’re having lots of fun together!

Found a kitten on my porch. No microchip. Help!

Hi all. I have two cats of my own and today I found this lil guy on my porch! I took him over to the vet to see if hes chipped and he’s not :( then I took him over to Petsmart to get some kitten food and the girl at petsmart seemed to know stuff about kittens so she was helping me look at him and we found he is a boy who is not neutered and she felt like his belly was a lil swollen so she thinks he may have worms, or he just needed to poop. However, his nails seem to be recently trimmed, and he seems well fed and taken care of, so I think it’s likely he is somebody’s.

I need advice on a few things: 1, finding his owner as quickly as possible. I cannot take care of him for long if he is sick because I have my own cats. 2, what are your quick simple tips for caring for a kitten as opposed to an adult cat? I’m very used to my adult cats, not sure what things I don’t know about kittens. Thanks!

Feeling a bit down today, would love if you shared a pic or funny story of your cat with me

Here’s my girls. The second pic is my calico longingly waiting for me to refill her puzzle feeder before bed… when it doesn’t get refilled until morning. She’s a silly girl.

Having a tough time with initial doses and could use some encouragement

My psychiatrist and I decided I should try Zoloft for my anxiety, depression and adhd (also using adderall to treat it). I’ve had bad experiences in the past with SSRIs from doctors starting me at 50 mg and sending me up to 100mg after only a few weeks, so I’ve been hesitant to retry SSRIs at all.

We started me at 12.5 mg which, to my understanding, is a very low dose. I’m on day 3 of it right now. But it’s giving me some side effects and I’m feeling really frustrated, discouraged and upset about this. I’ve been having some really bad bowel movements and I’m tired and lacking motivation. It feels like it’s making my adderall less effective so I can’t get out of bed or focus on anything. I’m also so hungry but nothing sounds good to eat and I can’t find the motivation to decide what to eat :((

Anyway, any encouragement or positive stories would be great. Thanks yall

My calico has been given an award 🎉

Working on putting things on the walls of my new place. My calico has the nickname “naughty Dottie” whereas her sister is an angel, so, I’m sure they are both pleased with their awards.

Today is my calico’s 5th birthday!

Wanted to celebrate my baby Dorothea’s 5th birthday today with you all! She is the most spunky but loving cat I have ever met. My favorite thing about her lately is how she rolls over when guests visit in an effort to get belly rubs. Happy birthday to my baby!

I need some help with behavioral issues I’ve been having with my calico, Dorothea. For context, she used to live in a car with her owner who let her out during the day so she’s pretty much a former outdoor kitty. She was 3 when I adopted her two years ago so she grew up that way.

About 9 months after adoption, Dorothea started to be very bored inside. I played with her regularly and she also has her (probably not biological) sister who she’s bonded to, to keep her company and entertain her. But it seemed like the thing she really wanted was to go outside again, so then the escape attempts began.

I moved back home from college and into my parents house, and she stopped doing it for a bit, but then got comfortable and bored and started trying to bolt out the door again.

We moved again, this time to an apartment with just me and the two cats, and the boredom got BAD. So I bought a window bird feeder, some new different types of toys, began playing with her on a routine… but I noticed that the more I did, the more bored she seemed, and her meowing and destructive clawing got worse and worse.

I even got her a stroller so we could go on walks and we both LOVE going for walks, but again, going on one walk a day wasn’t enough. So I did two walks a day. Wasn’t enough. She meows at the door allllll day wanting to go on walks. She’s started bolting out the door when she has the chance, and now because she knows the lay of the land a bit, she really tries to book it!

Help! What do I do? I have a behavioral appointment with her vet but it’s not for a few weeks and I just need some advice. Thanks yall.
