Need advice (first job na di aligned)

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some perspective on my situation. I’m currently in my first job at an NGA. The role is not aligned with my degree, but the setup is stable and convenient since it’s near my home and I don’t have major financial pressure right now. Job Order nga lang po pala and walang premium whatsoever

Current situation:
First job, less than 1 year experience palang
Role is not tech-related / not aligned with my degree
I have another possible opportunity in a tech-related company, but it is not guaranteed yet since I still need to pass an exam before getting a contract

Pros of staying:
-Very close to home
-Stable environment
-Decent pay for my current needs kasi wala naman ako bills
-Comfortable support system (family/friends)

Cons of staying:
-Role is not aligned with my IT background
- i feel out of place and parang adjusting parin kasi wala akong bg about dito
-Work environment and dynamics have been stressful for me (wala akong kaclose and di ko matimpla ugali ng boss)
\-I don’t see a clear growth path or regularization potential in a tech direction

I’m trying to decide if it’s better to stay in a stable but misaligned role or take the risk of leaving for an opportunity that isn’t guaranteed yet. Natatakot kasi ako matengga pero parang gusto ko din muna mag pahinga. Supportive naan parents ko regardless sa final decision ko. Pero dahil sa current state ng economy natin parang di ko deserve haha. Would appreciate any honest advice, especially from those who have gone through a similar first job situation.

First job as JO sa govt, torn between stability and switching to diff path

Help ASE newbie

May naka experience na po ba ng ganito? Bali after interview ko kasi may verbal JO na and sinabing start and pina complete yung tasks sa work day. It’s been days since na complete ko yun and now hindi maibigay ang contract ko kasi need ko mag exam on site daw for my project. Mettl exam daw yun na need ko ipasa to proceed with my application. The problem is i have no idea kung anong exam yun and di pa ako nag undergo ng bootcamp + nakapag resign na ako sa previous work ko. I really need an advice or tips or kahit ano guys baka masiraan ako ng bait kakaoverthink

Problem/Goal:

Should I stay in my current job or not renew my contract and take a break to find work na aligned sa degree ko?

Context:

Hi guys, need ko lang talaga ng opinion from other people para ma-check ko if hindi lang emotions yung nagddrive ng decision ko. This is my first job, and 5 months pa lang ako here sa government work. Kaso hindi siya aligned sa program ko.

Inaccept ko siya mainly because home-based (less hassle sa commute) and na-pressure din ako since a lot of my batchmates nakahanap na agad ng work.
Lately, sobrang stressed na ako sa boss ko. Since last month, nag-start siyang maging ganito and I can see na this might just be how she is. Parang kahit magstay ako, I’ll always have to deal with her attitude.

I’ve been trying to adjust sa attitude niya since last month, pero parang naiipon lang yung stress. Tinatry ko din i-focus yung sarili ko sa positives—okay naman yung earnings ko as a job order, and convenient since wala akong ibang bills right now.
Pero despite that, nafefeel ko pa rin yung burnout and I’m starting to consider not renewing my contract and taking a break muna, kahit medyo risky given the current economy.
May drive pa rin naman ako to pursue a career na aligned sa degree ko—nataon lang talaga na ito yung first offer na inaccept ko.

Any advice or similar experiences? Worth it ba mag-stay or okay lang mag-step back muna? Thanks!
