Thoughts?

Found in the basement ceiling joists of recently sold house I was working in. I usually find ammunition, this is a welcome addition.

Is being a golden retriever bad?

I f33 briefly dated a guy m29 for almost 2 months. He was very back and forth in his emotions. Could be loving over text but in person absolutely hated any public form of affection. Like once we were walking to an event and I put my arm around his waist so he could put his over my shoulders, and he said ‘oh so we’re that kinda couple?’ in a tone that disapproved. It took me aback.
Anyways, I’m going through a significant legal issue and he didn’t let me vent to him. He said he’s not a golden retriever boyfriend and I need to know boundaries. I ended it with him because after finding out what he meant by golden retriever boyfriend, I realized that’s how I am and I deserve to have it reciprocated.
This is a new term for me, is a golden retriever partner not something others look for?

Do I continue to offer assistance in the future, or tell him like it is when he brings it up later? Or just ignore it?

Coworker [m24]that I [f33]help mentor in skilled trades called right when I was going home asking for assistance. I said I just clocked out, but can turn around to grab my truck. He declined. Then this text conversation happened.
When I learned the trade, I learned the hard way but didn’t have an angry reaction to others. Help was never offered. I could reach out for advice if I absolutely needed, but always tried it myself as much as I could first. I learned it’s best to ask advice at first headwind, otherwise you just dig yourself deeper.
This guy is young, but also one of the most temperamental/mercurial people I’ve met. I don’t know if I should offer help to someone that is acting like this.

I’m sure I’m better off and dealt with too much to begin with. Should I respond with the red flags I experienced fr him, or just not respond at all?

All I did was say a guy we both know(and I have not seen in 2years) had a nice butt, not used to seeing a guy with much of a butt to begin with. I told him this on Sunday, and he still went through the week saying he loved me and was very happy. Then last night blew up about the butt comment.
Before we were officially dating, I mentioned I had an initial crush on someone we work with. But was clear it wasn’t a real crush, just that I see a heavily tattooed guy with a deep voice and an interest is built. I always thought being open and honest was a sign of respect, he disagrees.
I’m also sure his reason for canceling tomorrow is bullshit. I originally said I may not be up for it bc my cycle started and day 2/3 are roughest. These messages are from today.
