Costco’s $3 Slice-and-Soda Deal Is Still Alive in St. George

Costco’s new south-side St. George location still has a cheese slice and fountain drink for under $3 before tax. We tried the deal—would you call this the best cheap meal in town?

After 8½ Years, Wing Nutz St. George Says Goodbye

Always surprising to see these businesses that have been around for a long time not be able to make it. The summers are brutal for local business. Especially the restaurant industry.

Anyone else miss the Electric Theater era in St. George?

I went down a rabbit hole looking at some of the bands that actually played there in the 2000s and forgot just how crazy that run was.

My Chemical Romance. Saosin. Senses Fail. Underoath. A Day To Remember. The Format. Circa Survive. Bayside… and a LOT more.

We put together what we could find here:
https://stgeorgedirect.com/the-electric-theater-era-st-george-still-talks-about/

But what I really want to know is who here actually went to these shows?

What was the best show you saw at the Electric Theater?

And if you have old photos, flyers, ticket stubs, or terrible flip-phone pictures from those nights, please post them in the comments. I’d love to see what’s still out there.

La Casa Del Tamal downtown!

Pollo asado fajitas!

Pretty enjoyable!

The beans were the most memorable though.

Definitely worth a try, beautiful new building.

Parking was decent too, a garage right behind the restaurant and they validate.

A favorite St.George breakfast joint

Bishops restaurant in Washington, Utah. We had the southwestern omelette with black olives and a coffee. Came in just under $17. Something special about this place.

We're posting about the best burgs in Saint George.

Here is one of them!

The Late Night burger at Street Eats was awesome.

The fresh chopped onions and really good pickles took it to another level, and the burger as a whole was packed with flavor.

We paired it with a Caesar salad and a drink for about $20, which felt like a fair deal for the quality.

This burger officially made it into one of our favorite burgers in St. George. If you haven’t tried the Late Night burger yet, we’d definitely recommend giving it a shot.

We’re looking to add another writer to the team at St.George Direct.

We’re covering more and more stories across Southern Utah and could use another person to help.
The work includes local news, community stories, business features, opinion pieces, and general interest articles.

Some stories involve research, some involve talking with local businesses or community members, and others are simply taking an idea and turning it into something people will enjoy reading.

If writing is something you enjoy and you’d like to contribute, send me a message. Include a little about yourself and, if you have them, a few examples of your writing.

Happy to answer any questions.

Honestly just lucky to have it.

After a BEAUTIFUL night at kolob res we decided to pull over for a big bad wolf burrito, iced latte and a view.

Genuinely just grateful to have spots like this to visit. — at River Rock Roasting Company.

Cafe Rio just dropped what they’re calling their “most Utah” menu item yet.

Admittedly we've had a tough time with cafe Rio the last few years, this new burrito has us interested in heading in again!

The new Utah Burrito is packed with seasoned ground beef, lime chile fries, shredded cheese, pickled pico, a secret burger sauce, and comes with a side of fry sauce. Because… Utah. 😂

Worth a try? Or keep walking?

Sanchez Mexican Food, Family Owned And Pretty Good!

Fast, friendly service and a great ham and egg breakfast burrito for about $13! The salsa bar was really clean, with a delicious selection of salsas, onion, cilantro, and especially the pickled carrots. Definitely worth stopping by Sanchez Mexican Food off Sunset!

If we're being critical the price was a little tough on this one,
