Seiko SNK803. I used to have it on a navy blue fabric strap of some sort, but fancied a change so picked up this Hirsch leather one. I know the buckle doesn't match the case finishing, but I kind of don't mind it.

Not exactly a celebrity, but a common fixture on UK TVs as a news anchor and in other presenting roles.

Even though it's way too small, basically a second skin on me (belly edited out of frame for the good of the sub 😂), it's not going anywhere.

She also got us tickets to go see them in September. (the Narrow Stairs tour was the first time we'd seen them live, that's why she got me that on a t-shirt too).

I've had this lad for just over a year, kind of started my watch hobby. I've not worn it in a few months (I generally prefer to have the date on a watch), but got it out of the box today, resized the bracelet and have been loving it again. Great compact size but with a touch of presence, keeps time well with the VH31, and that dial is still cracking. Definitely going to try and wear it more again, maybe as a weekender when the date is less important.

Just needed to vent. I put it on, in a site I have used for sensors previously with no issue, it calibrated for an hour as per usual, then gave me error messages for 40 minutes and died. It NEVER worked, never gave a single reading in its brief ignoble life. Now it's gone in the sharps bin. And this message boils my unread blood every time this happens. This isn't about my safety as a user, it's about Freestyle's quality control being absolute bobbins; it is far far FAR from the first time I've experienced this. Utterly infuriating.

Been outside hanging the washing, came back into the house and went upstairs, watch basically lit up the darkened stairs and landing area. Incredible little thing.

These were pretty tasty. I'm not usually a huge fan of bacon flavoured snacks, but these were exactly that kind of classic bacon flavouring with a slight extra sweetness. It rounded them out a bit which I really liked. And they were extremely crunchy, as these types of corn snacks are.

I was completely unable to resist the low price SwissChamp on Amazon. It arrived in the middle of the week, but as it was the black version I also took the opportunity to order blue scale tools and an orange lanyard. This appealed to me because it contrasts my blue scale Recruit with black scale tools (and an orange lanyard).

I don't know if other localities of Amazon are also running deals on Victorinox SAKs right now, but there are a few on Amazon UK and I thought 62 quid for a new SwissChamp was a pretty decent price.

(Will delete if it turns out this kind of thing isn't kosher here/is actually not that good a deal.)
