rant: tired of micro aggression against me

i usually wear my hair in these two styles because they’re my favorite and sometimes i do twist outs or regular twists. i started working at a grocery store a couple months ago and i got a lot of comments about my hair almost everyday. the one comment i get a lot is “is that your real hair” which is don’t really take offense to it. but there are somethings that are starting to bother me

  1. some people will give me cards for their braiding shops and at first i didn’t care until some lady came up to me and said “you need to do something with that hair” (i was wearing my hair like the first picture) and gave me her card and i asked her what’s wrong with my hair and she said “it’s all over the place”. that really hurt my feelings because i do take good care of my hair
  2. usually when people touch my hair i know they don’t mean it in a malicious why so i don’t over react but i have this coworker who is older than me and i came to work with my hair straightened and she said “your hair looks way better this way” and was just constantly touching it. made me super uncomfortable and makes me think how does she view my hair when it’s not straightened?

these are just the smalls things i will name but it has made me really insecure about how i wear my hair and how people view me. i just thought i’d get this off my chest because it made me really emotional. thanks for reading

edit: thank you guys so much for the nice comments. trying not to cry in public 😭
