15k for 2004 at ~95k miles

Hi all,

Considering buying a 2004 for 15k in my preferred colorway. 1-2 owners and working hard top, cosmetically pretty good other than normal wear.

I checked service history and the car was serviced at the dealership regularly with oil changes and small maintenance. Records show timing belt/water pump and rear brake pad replacement were declined in the past 5 years so those will need to be done.

Wondering if 15k is reasonable?

new owner of 4 - beak concern

Hi All!!! New owner of 4 parakeets as of this past weekend. They are still shy which is why the pics were a little difficult to take. I just noticed that the one in the first picture has a flaking beak. Has anyone seen something like this before?

beak?

New owner of 4 budgies … her beak looks a little different from the others. Is this expected in the budgie world?

predatory agent as first time buyer- how to protect my peace?

first time buyer just dealt with the slimiest listing agent. I’m just trying to find a home to live a happy and peaceful life and seeking advice to avoid what happened so the process can be as pleasant as possible.

I had seen the property once, my parents had attended the open house (he lied and told him he knew they were coming and opened it for them??) and were gullible to his claims of a good deal, good rates with his lending partner, etc etc.

he got my contact info and was rushing me to meet him and sign the next day - I said I wanted to look at disclosures and HOA documents and see the house again before signing anything. After seeing the disclosures and HOA docs I was no longer interested in the house, especially without my own representation given his behavior, and told him I wasn’t interested in meeting anymore.

as expected, doesn’t take no for an answer and continues to persuade me to call or meet, switching between trying to be supportive to answer my concerns to guilting me because of all the work he’s done with the sellers to then trying to offer his real estate service for other properties. I decline and start ignoring cause he won’t stop persisting.

He then calls my parents and tries to get them to convince me, and talks about how he already drafted the paperwork on got the sellers to sign. not my problem - I haven’t signed a thing. I told him to stop contacting us and blocked.

So disappointed how normalized it is to ignore consent and not take no for an answer, and I’m painted as the one overreacting now since I put down a boundary. Other than working through an agent, how can I protect my mental peace in future situations - about false sense of urgencies, information privacy, social boundaries, etc??

my first coach bag purchase <3

wanted to share my beauuuutful new bags <3 excuse the wrinkles on the bedsheet

I’ve always had fond memories of Coach. It was my mom’s first designer bag and I remember saving up my allowance and new years and birthday money to get her a bag as a present one Mother’s Day.

Now many years later, I’m finally buying myself Coach for the first time! I’ve been a Brain Dead fan for almost 10 years now, so when I saw the collab I had to jump on it! On top of that, I was born year of the rat/mouse, and I’m a pretty moody person, so the Dakota was perfect for me. I also wanted one with the two logos, so I was so happy to get the green plaza too. The plum escaped my cart this time…

It was thanks to this subreddit that I was able to buy it on drop day (the sort high to low and filter by color trick, who knew!) so I wanted to show my haul and my gratitude! I’m almost too afraid to wear them out!

Help ID - Bay Area, CA

Located in Bay Area, CA. Found this critter and my loving partner smushed it before roach it in the toilet - so it might be a little flattened. Have been living in my place for 3 years and it’s my first time seeing one. Preparing for the worst (German roach) but hoping it’s anything else.
