Ish (just mentioning ahead of time), looking to play shows locally and maybe do weekend runs.
Looking for some art to post with my bands music online (we are a sludge/doom metal and shoegaze band). Budget is $150-200. The idea we had was a side profile black and white of a woman with an animal headdress of sorts and smoking a hand rolled cigarette on a tarot card. The theme of our music is caves and bats maybe have the card named “man’s collapse” or something along those lines like a tarot would be named/called. If I can add more info please let me know. I look forward to hearing from one you very talented people.
We have posted before but a couple folks have stepped away for one reason or another so we are casting lines out again. Title says it all, we are a forming doom project currently consisting of drums, guitar/back vocal, and synths/programming/back vocal. Heavily inspired by bands like thou, eyehategod, holy fawn, deafheaven, Black Sabbath, slumber, high on fire/sleep/matt pike, neurosis, etc. Open to anyone and everyone interested, we are over 30 if that matters. Reach out to hear what we have (early demo stuff, waiting till we have a full line up for a more proper demos) if interested. We are not looking to be pro but do want to play shows in town with cool local bands like rickshaw Billie’s so having a live set up is preferable. We don’t have a permanent jam space but we do meet weekly at a spot in near Anderson mill and 183. If all this sounds cool to you hit me up!
Reporting with a twist since the line up we are forming has shaken up once again (typical new band stuff) and 2 hermits (drums and bass/guitar) are looking for more members for spacey doomish stoner metal/alt hardcore and black metal influenced band. We are a new forming project that came as a hybrid of 2 projects (a doomgaze ish band and post rock band) I guess the best way to describe it is bands like red sparrows/explosions in the sky meets something like deafheaven/hum/helmet hybrid. I have some demos of stuff written if you would like an idea what we are looking to do. Rhythm guitars and bass that drive along drums with a healthy pulse and ambient reverby leads. We are currently guitar, bass, and drums, our guitarist also does vocals but someone who can also do vocals would be a huge plus (we haven’t decided on a style) we are all 35+ if that matters and 420 friendly but have our shit together (ie reliable transport, gear, etc) we don’t have a permanent practice spot but we are working on it and regularly meet at a place in north Austin. If you have anything to share music wise we would be interested to hear it as well.
