Is there really that few of monthly rental spots in Austin? The month to month thing is working now but a more permanent set up would help so much

Looking for someone to finish out our lineup. Hard to pin down our style: doom, post hardcore, and post/black metal would do it best. If you can do vocals or have experience with extend range guitars (it’s totally cool if not) that’s a plus. You don’t have to be a shredder or pro by any means but being familiar with drop tunings and your way around the fretboard would be helpful. We have 4-5 songs written with almost 4 of them being solid with us as a 3 piece (bass, guitar, and drums). We have second guitar parts written with tabs and I can arrange in any way your guitar is set up in (tuning, # of strings etc) but the songs are certainly up for interpretation/your own add ons or riffs. The only real important things to us are have gear to play in a live band setting (just an amp bigger than a 15 watt orange or something) and be able to get to practice 1 time a week. We practice in north Austin at rock box in hourly scheduled blocks until we find a monthly rental situation. I have samples of the songs and tabs/guitar pro files for anyone interested or just DM me if you’re interested in coming out to see what we have going on. LFG!

Reporting with a twist since the line up we are forming has shaken up once again (typical new band stuff) and 2 hermits (drums and bass/guitar) are looking for more members for spacey doomish stoner metal/alt hardcore and black metal influenced band. FFO: thou, eyehategod, rickshaw Billie’s, crowbar, bell witch. Open to anyone and everyone that wants to make big ominous music. Seeking multiple members so whatever you play reach out! I have some new demos of stuff we have started (about 4 songs) however any input of material you have to share is welcome. I have tabs if you play guitar or bass for what we have as well if anyone wants em.

We are a new forming project that came as a hybrid of 2 projects (a doomgaze ish band and post rock band) I guess the best way to describe it is bands like red sparrows/explosions in the sky meets something like deafheaven/hum/helmet hybrid. I have some demos of stuff written if you would like an idea what we are looking to do. Rhythm guitars and bass that drive along drums with a healthy pulse and ambient reverby leads. We are currently guitar, bass, and drums, our guitarist also does vocals but someone who can also do vocals would be a huge plus (we haven’t decided on a style) we are all 35+ if that matters and 420 friendly but have our shit together (ie reliable transport, gear, etc) we don’t have a permanent practice spot but we are working on it and regularly meet at a place in north Austin. If you have anything to share music wise we would be interested to hear it as well.
