Tiny cubby

Tiny cubby

What are people putting here besides spare change, chapstick and other random pocket clutter. Extra points for a perfect fit gadget.

Personally sometimes I put my work phone here but id rather leave it empty than put random tiny junk here

Radar

Want to build a cyberdeck that functions as a local radar to detect nearby phones. Scan passive radio frequency (RF) scanning, probably targeting Wi-Fi probe requests and Bluetooth/BLE beacons?

Looking to display active MACs and signal strength (RSSI) as blips on a localized grid.

With this kind of scanning functionality It could Alternatively be a wardriver.

Not sure what kind of housing I want/how small i want it to be yet. Since im thinking wardriver maybe it'll be something that can sit on my passenger seat or a dock of some kind. Was thinking when im car camping I'd have it set to ping alert when new devices enter a certain range.

Should I go raspberry pi 4/5? Or something else? This'll be my first time doing something with such a specified use rather than basically just a raspberry pi Linux computer.

Would paracord on this be crazy?

Considering doing the entire outer bar of my cargo carrier in black paracord. Im worried about losing color in the sun. Or it getting dirty and being impossible to clean. Anyone done something this big before? Something that lives outside? Would this be a terrible idea?

On sale! ...but increased shipping

Price History shows its the cheapest its ever been, and there's only 1 left. (Its been in my wishlist for several months) so I decided to immediately go to buy it. Shipping is now $65 making it $105 total..

are we pretending its on sale hoping people won't notice the ridiculous shipping price increase? Lame

Condensing pill bottles

My partner loves to put all the pills in her purse into one pill bottle. But sometimes she puts those pill bottles back into the medicine cabinet and the whole bottle becomes absolutely unusable to anyone because who even knows what these are.

Then I Google the bottle so I can see what the pill is supposed to look like and literally NONE OF THEM match????

One time I took 4 sleeping pills on a Saturday morning while assuming what I was taking was ibuprofen because WHY would I think anything in the bottle is anything other than what it should be.

A shoutout to bloodchief ascension

Theres a question after all this i swear.

I have a 5color bracket 3 (verging on bracket 2 deck) that is 100% cards that feed on opponents actions or choices. I mean 0 wincons outside of [[managorger hydra]] type cards that require alot of opponent input to become wincons. And yesterday I played a turn 1 [[Bloodchief ascension]] . I have 0 synergies with this card. No forced mill. No wheels. Its just a 1 drop that CAN gain me 2 life whenever someone puts a card into their graveyard from anywhere. and Its an enchantment so its slightly difficult to remove.

Well in this game I kept playing cards like [[dragonlair spider]] or [[powerbalance]] or [[monologue tax]] , basically cards that do more work more quickly and they (or opponents more immediate thrates) would get removed and BA just.... stuck around. The entire game. People were purposely milling each other, or repeatedly sacrificing and reanimating things as a part of their engine and as I kept getting trucked for 20 damage... BA would just... gain me that life back and bring opponents lower and lower until eventually the game ended due to my [[druid of purification]] taking out someone's [[folio of fancies]] and each player having to discard to handsize.

Thanks Bloodchief Ascension! Anyone else have cards like this that just take over the game with basically 0 input from you?

Evasion AND parasitic?

Hey all, I have a deck where every card HAS to be parasitic in some way. And I've ended up with quite a few creatures that get +1/+1 whenever an opponent casts a spell. Aside from [[managorger hydra]] most of them don't have trample or any sort of evasion.

I found [[kaito, cunning infiltrator]] has an ability that gives evasion AND an ability that benefits from opponents actions. Anyone have more cards like this?

Seems a bit difficult to search for since "parasitic" isn't a tag and there's so many forms of evasion. Cards that grant Fear, intimidate, skulk, trample, flying, etc AND have some sort of text that benefits from opponents actions or board state or the number of cards in their grave or on their field etc.

Any help appreciated. Thanks

Edit: Toll is the tag word I was looking for. Thanks all. Id still welcome any suggestions as there a tons of cards that grant different forms of evasion and some cards that benefit from opponents may not be considered a "toll" card.

Favorite versatile interaction?

What's your favorite interaction UNDER 4cmc that has multiple uses??

The charms are a pretty obvious example. but I feel like we've come a long way since most charms were printed. Each individual mode doesnt seem to be worth 3 mana, you pay for the utility. But some newer intsants like [[thraben charm]] have GREAT options and even the wording being "any number of graveyards" provides some excellent strategy options.

Show me what you got

What deals damage BY ITSELF?

Im in a jund deck that drops tons of high cmc threats and its got me thinking. What are the highest damage dealing creatures in mtg?

And I'm not talking about combos or card that do work with a ton of synergy like purphoros. Im talking [[magmatic force]] dealing 12 damage a round and a possible 7 with combat damage.

What one creatute are you dropping that will put in work all by itself?
