Traveling in the US with EU boyfriend with risk of denied entry. Global Entry alone or standard officer line?
I (Us citizen) have been living in EU for the past 3 months (kept residency in US), and planned a 2-weeks vacation in US this summer with my boyfriend. We will be traveling to the US together and landing in Chicago O’Hare
He has applied for ESTA a few days ago, and he disclosed me as point of contact in the US.
We are worried that when he goes through customs, they might question his intent in the US, because traveling with a USC girlfriend with US residency, despite having flight tickets and reservations.
Should we do two separate lines? Me, Global Entry, and him line with officer for ESTA travelers?
Or would it be better that I go with him? If I am allowed to go through ESTA line, yet.
Should he disclose that he’s traveling with my and specify I am his girlfriend? Or just a friend?
How likely is that they request access to social media?
What other proofs beside tickets and reservations should we carry with us? Paycheck etc.
We booked all the hotels and flight. The very last thing we want is to have his entry denied and lose all the reservations, and the excitement for our first trip in the US together.
