Need recommendations for good dentist in Hickory

I'm looking for a "sympathetic" dentist. By that I mean someone who isn't going to shame me for the absolute wreck that is my mouth.

I've always been a big chicken when it comes to dentistry and have avoided it for 40 years, except when absolutely necessary.

I don't have $35000 for implants, so that won't work for me. TYIA

What is this thread used for?

I bought four spools of this thread at a yard sale thinking it was something else. Does anyone know what this is used for? Crafts, maybe?

Rain chain from flower pots

I was gifted these small pots and really didn't know what to do with them. Someone suggested a rain chain. I wanted copper color but my husband wanted bright colors so I comprised. In between each pot are beads the same color as the pot beneath it.

Postal Carrier didn't bother to take our food donation

The postal service has a campaign where, on the 2nd Saturday in May, they ask for food donations to be left beside the mailbox.

We bought some non-perishables and placed them outside and the postal carrier didn't even bother to take them.

I mean, we'll take them to a food bank, but why go all the trouble of advertising it and sending out mailers just to ignore the donations?

Different color threads in the same stitch

I'm wondering if anyone has used 2 or more different color threads to make a single stitch...like a light blue and a dark blue. Is there any advantage to doing this? Just curious what it would look like
