This is a genuine question, and not an attempt to start an argument over morality or judgement or you as a kind person. So don't get pissy. Please.

I just want to know the reason society sees one corpse as acceptable and not the other. Why do we have a stigma around canninalism, just because we are the same species? I'm not saying let's all eat each other or if you eat animals you might aswell eat people, but it's seen as an evil act thats incomprehensible and unthinkable and the same thing done to an animal isn't.

Is it because we are disconnected from the meat industry to what's on our plates? But also - I don't think we are, it's blatantly shown to us and taught in lessons (or at least my school did) but the majority chooses to ignore it anyway

Or because cannibalism is often associated with disease? (Which to me doesn't make sense because you also get disease from beef)
