conflicting opinions from different doctors

so back in december 2025 i had a couple clots in my left leg resulting from may thurner syndrome and i had a stent placed in march. a few weeks ago my pelvis started aching right where the stent is and my mom noticed a bit of swelling in my leg so i contacted my hematologist and she ordered a ct scan. i got the results back and it says “**IMPRESSION**:

  1. Moderate circumferential thrombus along the wall of the distal external iliac vein component of the stent.
  2. Mild circumferential thrombus along the wall of the common iliac vein portion of the stent.”
which i THINK means there is clotting on the inside of the stent. i also contacted the surgeon who placed my stent just to let him know what was going on. he called me today and said he took a look at my ct images and he does not believe i have a clot, it’s just “remodeling” (his words). i don’t exactly know what that means. i’m a little confused that the radiologist believes there is a clot but the surgeon doesn’t. thankfully i have an appointment with my hematologist in person tomorrow but has anyone else experienced something like this? would it not be super obvious i have a clot or is it harder to see if it’s inside the stent? idk!

what is a good job for someone with no degree with pots and chronic migraines?

i used to work at sephora before my pots diagnosis and loved it but they wouldn’t let us sit and were very inconsiderate about my migraines even with doctors notes. about a month ago i got a job at meijer stocking produce and immediately sobbed the first day because it was too much labor, and now i’ve moved on to a movie theater and i love it so far but the air conditioning is broken and doing the dishes while closing last night was torture. i got botox for my migraines today and sobbed at my appointment because my neurologist said if this doesn’t work i’m completely out of options and now i’m crying again at work on my third day because i just feel like shit in general. i’m tired of not being able to work so i’d like to know what suggestions you guys have or what you personally do! i’m 20 and had to drop out of college because of my migraines and pots so currently no degree, something entry level would be perfect.

leg heaviness when i wake up?

i had a dvt in my leg back in december 2025 due to may thurner syndrome and have since been put on blood thinners for life and had a stent placed. i’ve noticed sometimes when i wake up my leg feels really heavy, almost like it’s fallen asleep but not the usual tingling you’d get with something like that. my doctor did say i have chronic clots so i’m a little worried about post thrombotic syndrome but the heaviness when i wake up is pretty infrequent and it’s not painful, just annoying. should i be worried or bring this up to my doctor?

pmdd with irregular periods?

first post ever in this subreddit since my diagnosis 8 years ago! my periods can sometimes be slightly irregular but i just started a new birth control (slynd) and a new job and i think the stress is getting to me lol. my period ended about a week ago but i started spotting a few days ago and have been crazy depressed ever since. i’ve never really had periods this close together before and i guess i’m trying to figure out if my period is actually coming or if i’m just depressed in general. how does pmdd work with irregular periods?

first day of my new job since being diagnosed with pots

got a new job at meijer as a produce stocker and was really looking forward to it, especially since this is my second job ever. everyone seemed happy to have me there and the tasks themselves are easy, just put out new product when it runs low, get rid of expired things, but GOD was it sooooo much physical labor. i’ve been pretty sedimentary the past year or two and i recently got diagnosed with pots in december and am still struggling to figure life out especially with chronic everyday migraines too. halfway through my shift i had to start standing in the cooler as often as possible and for the remainder of my shift i felt like i was about to pass out and vomit. genuinely a miracle i didn’t. my mom came to pick me up and asked me if i was okay and i just immediately burst into tears and then went home and cried in the shower too. i guess since my first job was sephora and it was mainly helping customers and stocking itty bitty makeup items it was easier. i reapplied there but they denied me. i feel stupid to quit this new job after one hard day but i truly don’t think i’m cut out for it. are there any ‘easy’ beginner jobs for people with pots? i’m desperate lol

blood thinners for life for provoked clot?

i had multiple dvts and pes back in december 2025 which later turned out to be caused by may thurners (and possibly birth control). i had a stent placed about 2 months ago and met with my hematologist yesterday just to make sure everything is going smoothly. i decided to ask if my clot was considered provoked or unprovoked because the internet was kinda split, and she said mine sounded like it was provoked. i then asked if i would be on blood thinners for life and she also said yes to that. from my understanding and few months on this subreddit, i thought unprovoked was typically the one that gets you on blood thinners for life. am i wrong? is it maybe because of the stent that i’ll be for life? just a small rant/question

i always feel like my pots isn’t real because i wasn’t given the tilt table test (i did the laying-standing test multiple times with different doctors) but i just watched my heart rate go from 59 to 120 just from standing 😭😭 baby that is DOUBLE and i’m on metoprolol so imagine what it would’ve been without it!!! sorry for the random post it’s just now hitting me that this is in fact real
