Port in Process a Disaster!
Ported 3 lines into Verizon on Simplicity plan.
Entering info was fine and the initial process seemed smooth. Followed directions and the process took about 10-15 minutes. When the step said to turn off and power on, the phones did not connect to anything.
Contacted support for help, but they were useless! I didn't have an account or active line, so nothing could be done. The reason, the port process didn't push anything to my phone. They couldn't verify because of that either. All I had was the online confirmation and email address, which was useless. Not sure why they offer online purchases if when issues occur, they can't support you!
Luckily, I searched out going to a company store because an authorized retailer store would not have been able to help either. Shout out to the Saugus store who took care of me in 5 minutes and gave me the eSIMs that chat couldn't do...which was the correct answer all along. She checked all of the info and everything was spot on too! Great help at the store, just two hours wasted (one chat, one driving) fixing the problem.
Anyone use them right now? Thoughts? The $30 Unlimited seems like a good deal...especially with the international service. Better deals are out there, but it seems like you need an annual plan.
Next question--are the coverage maps they have really out of date? Look at the verzion ones, for example...2013 and tons of gaps covered to other verizon prepaid carriers.
Seems like you may be able to switch between providers too...can anyone confirm?
Thanks.
