What medication are you on for severe anxiety?
What medication do you take, how long have you been taking it for, and what others have you tried before (if any)?

My anxiety doesn’t feel better at all and I haven’t had the best experience on Cymbalta. I’m scared that it will be difficult for me to come off of it as this is one of the hardest meds to come off of. However, if it has only been a month should it be okay? I’ll be cross tapering.
I’ve been taking Klonopin 3-4 times a week for about 8 months for anxiety and I really need to stop. It’s making my anxiety worse overtime and in between doses I experience worse anxiety. I’ve definitely become dependent on them. I started with 0.5mg but that doesn’t do much anymore and now I take 0.75-1.25mg some days. I also realized skipping days and not staying on a consistent dose is doing me more harm than good?..I plan to use the Maudsley method. 1mg for 2 weeks, 0.95mg for 2 weeks, 0.90mg for 2 weeks, and so on until I hit 0mg. I hope that it goes well. I am so grateful for this medication but at the same time I need to stop. What are your thoughts? I would really appreciate any input.

20mg for 2 weeks, 40mg for 2 weeks, now 60mg for 5 days now.
Anxiety is still very high and has gotten worse since upping to 60mg. I had one of the most horrendous panic attacks recently. When does the side effect of worsening anxiety pass?
I know it can take 6-8 weeks for the medication to work. However, I want some hope. I’m also cross tapering from Lexapro so maybe that is contributing to my worsening anxiety.
2 weeks of cymbalta at 20mg, 2 weeks at 40mg, now 4 days at 60mg and I feel like I’m going crazy. The anxiety is horrible, my sleep quality has decreased dramatically, had a severe panic attack today that resulted in some SH, increase in suicidal thoughts. I just want to stop this med cold turkey after almost 5 weeks and go back to Lexapro bc even though Lexapro only treated my anxiety some it’s better than this.
TLDR: severe side effects. Wanting to stop cold turkey after 5 weeks to go back to Lexapro.
Hi. Lexapro stopped working for me after a couple of years. Zoloft worked for me for many years but had a bad reaction after trying it again (gave it over 6 weeks and felt worse as time went on).
Trying Cymbalta this time.
First 2 weeks - 20mg Lexapro 20mg Cymbalta
Now a few days on 15mg Lexapro and 40mg Cymbalta.
Will up to 60mg after a couple more weeks.
How did this differ for you than SSRI’s?
I sit here with tears in my eyes as I just want this to end already. :( please share some success stories with anxiety. my physical symptoms of anxiety are so bad.
