My First leather Project ever
Hi everyone,
I’d like to show you my very first leatherworking project. For about half a year now, I’ve been really interested in this wonderful craft. I watched hundreds of videos and checked the related subreddits here on Reddit every day. I had a lot of information on the topic, but until recently, I didn’t have any tools or leather.
Then, a few days ago, I finally bought a basic set of tools and some leather scraps I found on eBay. According to the seller, it’s vegetable-tanned leather from Italy. I was really eager to finally get started on my first project. Since I’ve been deeply into the EDC scene for a long time, I knew right away what my first project would be: an EDC card holder. I found a template I liked and started working on it yesterday. I had so much fun that I completely lost track of time.
It didn’t turn out perfectly, but I’m still pretty happy with it. I’ll do a few things differently next time, though, because I really learned a lot while making this very first one.
Now I’d be really interested to hear your thoughts. Suggestions for improvement and so on.
