My great-uncle Harrison, sometime in the 1930s. He lived from 1907–1939 and died of tuberculosis at just 32. Not sure what the story behind this photo was, but I’ve always found it interesting.
My dad was born in October 1946. Always thought it was interesting that little boys wore baby gowns like this back then. I really love this picture of him.
Lora (Paternal Grandfather); when he was in the navy during WWII
old family photo! that was found upon my parents’ estate . Maternal great grandmother is in pic! My maternal great-grandfather was German, and Easter bunny cakes were brought over to USA by German immigrants. families make cakes like this with coconut “fur,” green coconut grass, and candy eggs.
How did all my contemporaries become grandparents?!
41 F here , husband is 45. we are CF.
Ok i saw some friends that are our age and already grandparents!
🤷♀️ but it creeps me out! this one 45 yr old woman watches her grandchildren daily. Her actual kids ages are 27 to 15.
it’s like she never had a break 😑 thank gos i’m CF. that would just be really depressing.
Whatever that she took a different path than me but i just wouldn’t want to do that
Seller to Buyer ratio is insane. Whatnot needs to limit live shows.
I sell sports cards and other things. I was checking out the sports section this evening and it said there were 20k users online. Not bad right? Then I sorted by card break lives and there were over 500 live card break shows! If you aren’t in the top 30 shows you won’t get anyone into your show. I’m sure it’s the same with other categories as well.
Whatnot needs to enforce a show limit or something. The platform as it stands now is fairly pointless unless you have a massive following.
mental health - old person and moving. husband thinks it’s a good idea to move her across the country- i think bad idea …AITAH
ok here is the issue please give me your opinions as i cannot get my husband to understand his ridiculous ideas.
MIL -has huge mental health issues ( went on disability for it like 40 years ago) takes nordo. she lives in fort lauderdale in a condo she can’t afford with the assessments. she has a documented history of substance abuse. And beyond all these things , she is just a horrible person and all the people in her building can’t stand her.
husband says for her to sell the place and move to nevada and live with us! this is such a bad idea for many reasons. First of all this woman has lived in Fort Lauderdale for probably 50+ years. She may have no friends down there but that’s because she’s is what she is, but you were wanting to move her across the country to live in a small bedroom in our house so you can take her Social Security money every month and get the profits from selling the condo well, first of all if you ever knew this woman, I have no idea how she gets away with the things she does but she will get that money so I told my husband to get that out of his head when I say she gets away with things I can’t understand. In this day and age, she hoodwinked a dentist and got all implants in her mouth and she never paid them a cent
and yeah, she did laugh about it cause she thinks she’s cute and she is 76 years old. Well, the last two things are really my opinion of her.
I don’t think mil or her son( my husband) are living in reality. They live in a kind of mindset that they’re gonna make all this money and she’s just gonna be completely fine.
i live in nevada ; Oh, I didn’t mention that she has a gambling problem too, and she will not even speak about gambling. yeah I’m sure the state will be the best place for her to live in.
