iPhone 15 overheating no matter what I do

hi! so i have always had issues with streaming on whatnot because of my phone overheating so fast (I have an iPhone 15). the longest I streamed without my phone shutting off due to overheating was 3 hours, but i could barely touch it it was so hot. I had my battery replaced and it’s been even worse (I did a stream yesterday at 35 mins and I was afraid it would shut off with how hot it was). it’s really interfering with my shows. apple won’t do anything and just is sending me back to geek squad so they can look over it but honestly I don’t trust them at this point with what they told me at my appt.

it was so bad this morning, that when I woke up (9 hours of no use) after only 5 mins of use, the back got so hot it burnt my hand and the screen dimmed. I had only checked my notifications, no gaming or such.

im wondering what phones yall use for streams (especially longer ones) because I think I’m going to need a new phone. I’ve tried everything, closing background apps, removing the case, dimming the screen, not using while it charges, I’ve even restarted it before streaming and had the AC blowing directly on it while streaming nothing helps at all. I’m really upset considering I just spent over $100 on a battery replacement and it didn’t help at all. so at this point I don’t think I want to bother using this phone anymore for streams.

hi guys! I want to speak to my Dr about possibly being prescribed amitriptyline. I deal with ibs flares, but it’s strongly stress and gut/vagus nerve related (random lower abdomen/colonic pain without food being involved), normal stools, and am very sensitive to supplements and food. I’m thinking when first starting out of trying just 5 mg (since I’m so sensitive and also some of the side effects I read such as being tired the first couple weeks).

I was curious to see if anyone with symptoms like mine got relief when taking it? my goal is to be able to actually leave the house without stomach pain/gurgles and urgency from stress, and not get stomach pain when stepping foot into a restaurant in fear I’ll get sick from something. has it helped your flares in these cases? and has it helped with food sensitivities at all (being able to eat foods that once were triggering). I even read stories that some were able to eat things like garlic and onion as well which sounds amazing. my dr appt is tomorrow and would like to discuss with her. thank you!

Hi guys!

A little background on me: I’ve had gut issues for over 2 years now. My stools are generally normal, but I get random gurgling, abdominal pain, and urgency — mostly triggered by stress but also certain foods. I also have severe food and supplement sensitivities that developed after taking antibiotics.

This all started about a month after taking cephalexin, when I began having severe reflux episodes. A few months later I took Bactrim for a UTI, and after that things really worsened and I developed ongoing food sensitivities. Since then, I’ve basically been home every day except work, with only a few social events in the past 2 years.

I’ve done a GI Map which suggested gut dysbiosis and possibly SIBO, but I’ve been hesitant to do a SIBO breath test because I’m very sensitive to the glucose drink. I also did a urine mycotoxin test (I had mold exposure for a few years), which showed elevated markers, but I wasn’t able to continue binders like charcoal due to how reactive my gut is.

I also have PCOS, so everything just feels like a confusing mix of gut + hormones + nervous system involvement.

At this point, I feel a bit overwhelmed and unsure what direction to take, since most doctors just say IBS and haven’t been much help.

My main question:
Are there any medications or treatments (prescription or otherwise) that can help with:

  • gut/brain nerve-type pain (random stabbing, throbbing, or “weird” sensations I get mostly from stress with no clear cause)
  • IBS symptoms like stomach pain, gurgling, and urgency when I eat something that doesn’t agree with me

I’m looking for options with the lowest possible side effects, because I’m already very sensitive and tend to react easily (especially to things that cause drowsiness or nausea). I just want nothing more but to be able to leave the house and enjoy life without fear I’ll get a random episode, or starve myself because I’m too scared to try anything off a menu somewhere without severe pain.

hi guys! so my naturopathic is suggesting I do a heavy metals urine test to see if that may be a root cause of my gut dysbiosis/ibs. a quick background on me.. I’ve had gut issues for over 2 years now, stools are normal but just random gurgling/pain (mainly brought on by stress but also food) and severe food and supplement sensitivities. It originally all began as severe reflux episodes a month after taking cephalexin (antibiotic). Then a few months later I took bactrim (another antibiotic) for a uti and that’s when I spiraled downhill and developed food sensitivities. I have been at home every day except for work and maybe 3 events I went to within the past two years. I feel like I’ve maxed everything and don’t know what to do. Drs just say it’s ibs and my gi drs are clueless. I did a GI map which my naturopathic said looks to be gut dysbiosis and strongly indicated sibo (but I refuse to do a sibo test because of the glucose drink with how sensitive I am). I did do a urine mold mycotoxin test (I was exposed to mold for a few years) which showed high levels for some of the markers, but couldn’t continue taking charcoal because of how sensitive my gut is.

she suggested the heavy metals test because she felt that my occupation was high risk (I am a nail technician and have been doing nails for 7 years now) and because of not really knowing what else to really do for me.. I also have pcos and read that heavy metals can be hormone disruptors too.. just a huge confusing mess of things and wondered if anyone with similar symptoms or as a nail tech themselves has found that their root cause was the heavy metals or is any of this?? If so, how do you detox?
