Day 7 of taking accountability for my life

7 days ago, I wrote a post about taking accountability for my life and the gameplan I drew for getting clients as an Executive Virtual Assistant.

It's safe to say that all has been well other than the countless rejections I've gotten from cold emailing.

But I have gotten a 'maybe'. Not sure if that's the right way to describe it.

I'll be meeting with the potential client this week and I hope it goes well.

If you're reading this and you're just like me, don't be scared to ask for that opportunity/job.

And if you're looking for a VA, please feel free to reach out!

Handbags xa Watoto

Hi ladies,

Hope you are all doing well.

I have these cute minibags that I'm selling for only 800 bob. If you have a small daughter, sister, niece etc, please consider buying for them. It's a good way to nurture their femininity as they grow. They have enough storage to carry a handkerchief, lip balm and any other essential.

Please consider buying one for them. Comes in all the colours shown except white and they're exactly as the photo.

DM or reach out via WhatsApp or call: 0119800560

I also do payment on delivery.

Karibuni.

Taking Accountability

The past few days have been quite difficult for me especially financially and this made me realise how much I hate being broke. I recently went to the hospital and I paid cash coz I'm not insured and that's where all my money for the month went.

Now, I have a full time job but the money I'm getting isn't enough to cater my monthly needs/wants. I've previously worked as a Virtual Assistant but I stopped doing that when I got this job. I want to go all in with VA work, even if it's part time, so that I can grow my finances. I'm giving myself 1 month tops to find a client, whether a local one or an international one. I do realise that I'll need to be super consistent and persistent but nothing that I can't handle.

So here's my plan:

- Defining my path - honestly this isn't difficult because I already have the skills (operations and automations)

- Refine my portfolio - it just needs a bit of polishing up which can be done in a few hours.

- Getting my first client - now this is probably gonna be the hardest part but I've done it before. I'm committing to cold calling, cold emailing, making job applications, networking and reaching out to old clients for this part.

Do I think I'm gonna achieve this within one month? Yes, I'm delusionally optimistic.

I'll be here to update you end of July.

Now, if you're looking to join an accountability team where we keep each other disciplined and consistent, here's a community you can join : https://chat.whatsapp.com/IArFlRVd2vvDyvmrKDP1l0

It's broken down to five groups depending on the area you want to grow and keep yourself accountable in terms of your goals. Check it out if you're interested.

Career Question

Help me out guys... I'm in a dilemma

Currently, I'm working at a company that overworks us with no compensation for overtime or transport and I'm in a role that I don't see myself doing long term. Now, I've gotten an opportunity at a different company for a role I'm interested in long term but the problem... it's an internship. There's a chance that I'll be absorbed after the internship for that role.

I'm not quite sure what to do because I really want to transition to that role but I can't seem to get a direct job. Should I go for the internship?

What should I do?

Hi ladies,

I need your advice.

There's this guy who gives me some good vibes at work and I'm not sure what to make of it. He's a bit of a 'mchokozi' at work in that he'd just want to talk to me, help me out etc.

We don't talk online but recently he sent me a song that has my name and I thought it was so sweet of him.

I think I like him but it's quite confusing coz he won't come clean about it. What should I do?
