I've got $20 to spend on some variety of promotion. My goal is getting the book into the hands of 1~3 readers most likely to leave reviews. What are my best options for succeeding that aren't "paid reviews"?

I will not give money to paid review sites. I'm assuming my primary avenues are going to be facebook or amazon ads, but I haven't tried either of them before. Are there other options?

windows 11, is there a way to backup the documents folder via command prompt?

Lenovo Yoga C930. I didn't want a password or pin on this machine and thought I had turned it all off, but windows did an update and now I have to have a password...not sure how that happened. I used a bogus MS account because I didn't want a password at all. Well now I can't get it because I can't remember what stupid password I used. Lesson learned.

Before I wipe and reinstall, I bought the thing strictly for painting/drawing. I only have two images I've been working on and they're in the pictures folder. Is there a way to back up either the entire documents directory or just the pictures folder to a USB drive via the command prompt?

'05 Bonneville SE...no cold air...ideas?

2005 SE...no AC...plenty of gas in the system and passes leak down, the pump is running, but no cold air. Sometimes it'll blow cold but I can't isolate what's happening differently.

Thoughts?

No response when we hit these keys. Is this a common issue?

Someone is selling one locally fairly cheap and honestly I'm mostly looking at it to use as a drawing tablet, but would be nice to know if the keyboard is indicative of a greater problem or if it's something that might be easily fixed.

I'm writing a scene where a guy has fallen in with a small group of soldiers in a foreign land. He's generally rather flippant and sarcastic and resorts to humor in stressful situations. He is NOT a soldier or adventurer or anything...he's very out of place among the other soldiers. The soldiers he's with are known for being fierce and strong fighters, but also for their general good natured attitudes and friendly demeanors (they will viciously fight anyone cheerfully). After a couple days our outsider realizes one of them is a woman...they're all soldiers with the same haircuts and armor etc and he wasn't paying close attention. She says the girls of your country are so soft you can't even recognize a real woman when you see one!

I need a response to this that fits in with his flippant/sarcastic attitude that is not demeaning or self-deprecating. I've got a lot of nice little witty retorts, but most of them are very solidly demeaning or self-deprecating.

Any suggestions?

At some point Vimes is talking about how writing a book can't be hard because "all the words are already invented". I'm trying to find that whole paragraph and it seems no one has ever posted it online lol
