I’m back with some more rep science and today I’m comparing my authentic Azur speedy 25 with OC Azur NF MM. I also used the copic marker (E74) on the straps and added photos of the Azur NF with marker, Mono NF without marker, and my authentic Mono NF.

My thoughts:

The Azur canvases are so similar. The OC Azur canvas print is more crisp and a bit sharp compared to authentic. The authentic canvas looks a little faded but it is so minimal I wouldn’t have known the difference at all. With a closer look, you can see that the “A” in Paris is shorter than the rest of the letters in OC canvas. Other than that, I think OC nailed the canvas tbh.

The glazing looks pretty good to me after using the copic marker. My NF is a few years old so the straps aren’t as “fresh” but I think with use, it’ll start to look faded like my authentic. It’s a little tedious to use the marker but I think it’s worth it.

I was genuinely surprised by the hardware. The auth was actually more yellow toned than OC. I know a lot of people here are worried about the yellow tone of the hardware but funny enough, I actually prefer OC hardware color. Also, the pull zippers are matte on the auth and shiny on OC. The glazing is more red on OC but I heard with use over time it will get darker. I’ve seen others use a copic marker (E74) to get it darker as well but do it at your own risk! I honestly don’t remember what my auth glazing looked like when it was new, it’s been 6 years. I think OC is a great option, especially for the price.
