I'm 20 yrs old, a student at an engineering college. ICICI has a scheme of providing lifetime free cards to students at some reputed institutes , my institute also comes under this category, I was thinking if it is a good decision to get it , how much will it help with my cibil score??
Hi guys , I am a student currently working to build a startup regarding the gaps between the opportunities gap faced by tier 1 & tier 2/3 students. (Both business and engineering colleges) . Where do these guys generally miss out on in terms of opportunities, etc.??

I'm sophomore in an engineering college want to explore more related to this field my interests lie in cybersecurity/backend development, also interested in learning about Ai-ML that seems to be in the uprise. I'm well versed in python, C , C++ and MySQL. Any one who can tell me where to start it'll be really helpful.
Hey guys , I'm a fellow student who is working on a startup and we r trying to figure out the painpoints of students in commerce/business schools , i.e , the challenges they face in terms of internships, placements, etc. regarding their careers.

Do let me know any challenges u guys face , as it'll be fruitful solving this problem..
This post is about what's happening in BITS goa from Acads/Career/placements POV.( I'm a fellow student here) Cuz Baaki ka everyone talks abt.

Pros-
- Better grading (whatever the case might be but it's a fact that a better grading generally helps a student explore extracurriculars + it helps in placements too)
Note: this is subject to change according to the acads committee.
- Club culture ( compared to hyd the club culture genuinely is very extensive, I don't have much idea about Pilani, but from what I've heard it is at par with them. (Due to some elite clubs). The clubs are the main factory that churn out great placements + it enables interactions with the alumni network definitely something to look out for.In next 4-5 years the results will be seen in the placement stats)
- Acads :
Now here it starts to depend on the department you'll be joining. Bio , Eco dept is chill , Mech & phy dept is innovative along with chill.(They genuinely push students to do better).
Not to forget that the CS dept of Goa comes in top 10 in India above Pilani as a result it is visible in CS related competitions.

Cons-
- Placement Unit :
Due to some reason or the other , the placement unit has been unable to get the right companies. I understand it might not be their fault but still , it hampers students 1 way or the other.
- Acads :
Now I told you about the depts. that are chill but their r some notorious depts. too. EEE & maths dept being the lead in this list. Chemical is chill too but there r some profs. who might make it difficult for you. Chemistry dept is very subjective but from what I've heard it is fine.
- Goa shaming :
Now if the location doesn't affect u , ur good, do note that like most colleges people here enjoy(Iykyk). Now from what ik since the campus is located in Goa people perceive it in a negative aspect that students there do weird shit, which I advocate is true but not that different from what happens in IITs or other colleges.

Broadly these are the things that I could think of, as of now. Do note that if u had to classify in which sector goa campus does well, it'll most likely be consulting & finance (heavy recruitment happens in these roles due to clubs like 180DC, BGCC , SoFI,etc.). I'm not saying there r non-existent IT jobs ,there r plenty but if u consider total placements as 100% around 40% will be in finance/consulting roles.
Do review this and have a great day!! Excited to see u guys who make it to Goa.
Edit: just because PU is not performing well, doesn't mean you'll get bad placements which is roughly 4-5 yrs away , till then most probably the whole PU might've changed.
