Electric Frother to 'Whisk' Matcha?

Electric Frother to 'Whisk' Matcha?

Hello all,

Normally I use a traditional chasen whisk and matcha bowl to make my matcha lattes, but recently I've been super lazy so I just go straight to my handheld milk frother to mix my matcha. Aside from it being frothier, it tastes the same to me but it's much faster to do when I'm in a rush. I do this with my more affordable matcha powder but does it really make a huge difference? It's probably super taboo but does anyone else do this as well?

Note: I always sift my matcha, and weigh out how much of everything I put (and the water I add never exceeds 80*C).

Speks Blur vs Crazy Aaron's Better Butter?

Thinking of getting one of these for my first putty. For those who have played with both, which one do you prefer? Or is there another one you would recommend??? Thanks!

$10 Iron Flame at HomeSense ?

Already purchased Fourth Wing but didn’t get the chance to read it yet before I found a hard cover Iron Flame at Home Sense for $10? Now the book is not pretty, I picked out the best one and it’s pretty beat up. But I guess I don’t mind because it’s for a third of the price. The only thing I’m worried about is somehow the content is different. Aside from the condition, does anyone know if there is anything wrong with the book and why it’s only $10?? Was it worth it or should I just return it and buy the original copy instead ? Or is there a way to even restore this book a little bit ?

Wenwan Walnuts, did I overpay ?

My friend had a nice pair of walnuts he got from a store that mainly sold Wenwan Walnuts. I asked him to help pick some up for me and he ended up paying around $95CAD for these; it came with a bag and a brush. They look quite nice in person from what I can see - no cracks and are pretty rounded and even for the most part. One of them does have wider wings than the other (if that’s what you call it) and that same one does have loose nuts inside. Otherwise they’re quite comfortable to spin in my hands and feel nice and dense. I’m new to this so I’m not sure if they’re real or what type they are and whether I’ve overpaid for them. So if anyone has any thoughts or comments on this, I’d love to hear your feedback.

Side note: I’ve watched quite a few videos on how to care for them but I’m open to hearing any tips and tricks you have on caring for them !! :) thank you ✨
