Etrto Vs manufacturers spec

I need new tyres for one of my bikes and when im browsing sizes they make no sense, i have 2.3" but theyre etro 55, the 2.25s i was looking at are etrto 57, why is there such a discrepancy between tyre sizes?

Need some tyre reccomendations

Pic 1 is front pic 2 is rear, currently on the front i have a 26" specialized hillbilly dh 2.3 and on the rear a schwalbe black jack. These feel amazing on the cycle to work and off road but they're in the state attached. I wanted to replace like for like but it doesn't seem like thats an option, the bike they're going on is sort of a trail bike, any reccomendations for replacements?

Meta ray bans gen 1 or 2?

Im about to buy some meta ray bans and im wondering if i should go gen 1 or gen 2, are the gen 2s worth the extra 110 euro? They're 356 for the gen 2 vs 246 for gen 1

Will this work?

My hub motor wheel is pretty chipped and im looking for info before it goes too far. can i put a bigger wheel on a hub motor or does the od have to match? Yes id be replacing all wheels if i was to replace the hub one.

This bike is 40-50 years old or so, the rear coaster hub is original. If i match the torque that it wants it goes fine but going from a stop or up too much of a hill it starts to slip.

Hello, i have a SCHWINN S10 from 1999. It is a nice bike but obviously outdated. The rear shock is a 140mm which is basically impossible to get nowdays. While cleaning it i had the idea to replace the rear shock with a 125mm. This would slacken the HTA by a few degrees. Since the shock doesn't do anything it wouldn't be a major loss to lose the travel. Will this go horribly bad and explode instantly or should i be fine?

I'm thinking of upgrading the brakes on my trail bike, currently i have mt200s, I've been considering getting magura mt5s or mt7s, any reccomendations?

I could also convert my crankset to hollowtech instead, or do something else idk
