I asked people why they get married, and most answers were about legal protection, inheritance, insurance, taxes, or financial security—not love.
I’m a woman, and honestly I don’t understand it. I’m against marriage for myself. I don’t want to depend on a man or use him for money. I work, support myself, and if something happens tomorrow, I expect to take care of myself—not be rescued by a husband.
So I can understand why some women might see marriage as financial security, but I don’t understand the male perspective.
Men, why do you want to get married? What does marriage give you that simply being in a committed relationship doesn’t?
If two people are happy together, why involve the government? To me, marriage often seems to create expectations and power dynamics where one partner tries to control or change the other. Why not simply stay together as long as you’re both happy?

Instead, he gave his son a LEGO set and a small amount of cash.
My opinion is simple: the child still needs support regardless of the conflict between the parents. Even if the money goes into the household budget, it still benefits the child. What do you think?
