Any Fellow “Riverdale” Fans with Disabilities???

So, I’ve already posted this on the r/riverdale subreddit and I just found an interest in the comics which I have never read before so here goes nothing:

Hey I just started rewatching watching the show for the first time in seven years on Netflix, I’m already at the beginning of season 2 and I’m starting to remember why fell in love with this show and these characters in the first place. When I was six weeks old, I was paralyzed from the neck down due to medical negligence and when I was two, I started using a motorized wheelchair to get around. Thanks to years of physical therapy, I have very little movement in my arms, hands, and fingers. I can’t grab or pick up certain objects unless they’re small and easy like a pencil or a penny and obviously, I’m able to type. I’m Latina and I love that they cast a Latina actress to play Veronica even though in the comics, she was always portrayed as a white girl. I’m twenty-eight now and I don’t care what anyone says about this show. No matter how weird or wild it got in later seasons, I was here for it, I just never watched the final season because I just never got around to it but that’s one of the reasons why I’m rewatching the show in the first place. I was hoping I could connect with fellow Riverdale fans with either physical or mental disabilities who love this show as much as I do. This show along with many others has inspired me to pursue an acting career. Also, have y’all ever met KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, and/or Madelaine Petsch? If so, what were they like, I mean, obviously they were nice, but what was it like actually seeing them on person and talking to them

NEED HELP! I’m Playing a Character with Severe Psychological Issues

I’m a 28-year-old aspiring actress/screenwriter and I’m a quadriplegic who’s been in a wheelchair since I was two years old. Anyway I’m writing a story about two Latina sisters living in the rough parts of San Antonio, TX (my hometown) during the mid ‘90s struggling to get by after the tragic death of their father. I will be playing the younger sister Alex, who aside from being a quadriplegic like me, also suffers from extreme anxiety and PTSD stemming from the day her father died as she was the one who found his body. I don’t have any mental illness in my own life but I want to portray this character as real as possible and I don’t want to offend anyone who lives with this type of illness in real life. The only inspiration I can think of is Sally Field’s performance in the 1976 television film Sybil and that one scene in Steel Magnolias where Julia Roberts is having a diabetic attack in the salon and Sally Field is trying to get her to drink the orange juice but she refuses. Can y’all please recommend some good acting tips and tricks to authentically portray this specific type of character?

My Riverdale Fan Fiction Script (PDF) - Episode 1

This is the story I was telling y'all about where Veronica's cousin Harper moves to town after her mother's death and becomes romantically involved with Archie.

I’m Having Doubts

As most of you know, I’m currently writing a fan fiction web series about Archie and Veronica’s cousin Harper. But lately, I’ve been having some really negative thoughts about myself and my writing skills. I know everyone goes through this at some point but I’m really worried that my writing isn’t good enough and I really want to do the characters that we all know and love some true justice. I’ve also been having dreams of myself meeting and hanging out with the cast, specifically KJ Apa, Camila Mendes, and Lili Reinhart. I still have high hopes for this story and I’m still writing it and I really hope I get to act in it as Harper. I just really need some words of advice and encouragement from my fellow Riverdale fans.

Introducing Characters with Glasses???

When introducing a character with glasses, do I have to write that they wear glasses along with their physical description or how does that work?

  1. Gay Witch Hunt: I loved this episode. I’m really sad that Jim isn’t at Dunder Mifflin but I understood why he felt like he needed to leave. I can’t believe Pam called off the wedding, I thought it was gonna be one of those episodes where it’s Roy and Pam’s wedding, and at the last second, she panics and becomes a runaway bride. I also expected Michael giving some kind of hilarious toast that he ultimately ends up making the day all about himself. I loved how protective Dwight got when Oscar pushed Angela. My grandma and I couldn’t stop laughing when Michael and Oscar kissed (if you can even call it that). I really can’t picture Michael as a flamboyant gay man.
  2. The Convention: I couldn’t really hear this episode because everyone was in my room all at once talking very loudly but from what I saw, Jim was heartbroken that Pam was going on a date and Michael was the one to console him,I thought that was really sweet of Michael. Lastly, I do not like Andy or Karen.
