how are you tracking contract renewals right now

we missed two renewals this quarter. both sitting in a spreadsheet nobody was actively maintaining.
i know we need a better system but everytime i bring it up it becomes a whole conversation about budget and priorities and nothing changes.
how is everyone else handling this? is there something lightweight that actually works or are most teams still just hoping someone remembers

What if AI agents predicted the world cup?

More and more people are discussing applications and products that combine prediction markets and AI-assisted money-making systems. Use an AI agent to predict trends and assess risks. I’m thinking about trying anvita cyber cup. Let me know if you know any other great. Would love to hear real experiences from members of this community.

diva's dream

disclaimer: posting this will get me a partial insurance refund from the seller so take that for what it is

got the diva’s dream double pendant version thru u/lilijewels. the two fans are diff by design, one full pavé diamond and one mother of pearl w diamond border, both on the same chain

the contrast is literally the whole point and ngl it works. diamond fan is more evening/dressy, MOP is softer. they sit at diff lengths on the chain which gives it movement when you wear it

MOP surface looks consistent, setting is even on both. only thing is the apex solitaire on the MOP sits slightly higher than i expected, not a dealbreaker but worth knowing if ur particular abt that stuff

~4 weeks total

-quality 9/10

-accuracy 8.5/10

-overall 9/10

the double pendant is way less common than the single so hopefully this helps someone who’s been considering it. contrast irl is better than photos too

I Upgraded the Lighting in My Home Office. What's Next to Make It Feel Cozier?

This is my desk setup. I really enjoy spending time in this corner of my home, but on rainy days or at night, the room always feels a little too dark.

The only ceiling light in my study is located in the middle of the room, so when I'm sitting at my desk, the light is actually behind me instead of illuminating my workspace. Over time, I started noticing more eye strain, especially during long work sessions.

So I decided to make a few changes. I added an indirect lighting desk lamp, and the whole space feels much more comfortable now. Instead of shining directly into my eyes, the light reflects off the wall first, creating a softer and more even glow with fewer shadows and less glare. I also added a small plant, which makes the space feel a bit more lively.

I spend around nine hours a day here. Whether it's a rainy afternoon or a late night at work, I'd like this space to feel even more comfortable and cozy.

What do you think I should add next to make this workspace feel more complete? I'd love to hear your suggestions.

Recon while waiting for Wolverine?

Just got a PS5 and picked up an 85” Hisense U7 to fully upgrade my setup. Used to play on a PC monitor, so seeing Miles Morales in Dolby Vision and Atmos actually blew my mind lol.
Planning to buy Spider 2 right now, but obviously that’s not gonna last until Wolverine drops. Looking for games with stunning visuals and crazy action set pieces. Down for FPS too since the screen goes up to 165Hz.
What should I grab next?

Tiffany T ring QC check

got QC photos for this T ring from lili and the pave looks decent overall. just one thing I wanted to check, on the original, the two shoulders of the band should sit slightly offset from each other. does this look right to anyone familiar with the style? hard to tell from my angle.

really ,will anyone actually need more than 32GB RAM?

recently, I found an interesting phenomenon when helping my family choose a computer. Netizens are saying that 32GB is the beginning and 16GB is outdated, but from my personal point of view, computers are limited to: browsing the web, watching videos and working, etc. The Ryzen 7 + 16GB DDR5 notebook I bought for my nephew is completely enough, but I see that everyone is saying that it is simply outdated in 2026. What is your opinion?

Before you install a generator

I'd like to share some things to keep in mind when installing a generator.

· Find a licensed electrician. Electricians are divided into general electricians and master electricians. General electricians theoretically cannot work independently; they need to go through a master electrician. (The electrician I hired had already retired lol)
· Buy a reliable generator. First, you need to understand the stable output power and peak power. Only the stable output power can determine whether the generator can power the air conditioner or how many appliances. Secondly, you need to find out if your generator can use centralized fuels. There are gasoline, gas cylinders, and piped natural gas, and the prices vary. I bought a Westinghouse 12500W because its normal output power is 9500W on gasoline and 8500W on natural gas, which is enough to power the air conditioner and other appliances on the first floor of my house. The Costco Firman 7500W is also good, and it supports three fuels. The advantage of using piped natural gas is that it can be directly synchronized with the stove, and you don't have to worry about not being able to buy gasoline or gas cylinders when needed, but you need to install the pipeline in the yard beforehand.
· Plug-in appliances (like dryers) directly into the power outlet is extremely dangerous. Without protection, if the wiring burns out, repairs will be necessary. Therefore, install a dedicated outlet. I bought a surge protector on Amazon to prevent sudden power surges from burning out the circuit, and also installed a converter (50 amp breaker interlock) to prevent sudden power surges from burning out the wiring.
· Buy a 50-foot 50-amp power line.
·You can install a hard or soft starter kit for your air conditioner to reduce starting current.
· Never use a generator indoors, including in a garage.

Installing a generator is not as simple as it seems. Of course, there are plug-and-play portable power station (Ecoflow, Anker, Jackery...)  available for those who don't understand the equipment but need a generator.

Hopefully, these basic tips will be helpful.

What do you use to take notes during lectures?

I’m a freshman and finals week is next week, and I’m starting to panic a little.

I take most of my lecture notes by hand because typing in Notion made me remember even less. I love the idea of neat digital notes, but when I type during class, I feel like I’m just copying words without actually processing anything.

Now I have a notebook full of handwritten notes, but I don’t really know how to turn them into useful study material. My notes look like noodles in a soup. Some pages are lecture points, some are examples, some are random things my professor said, and some are just half-finished thoughts.

How do you guys figure out what is actually worth studying? Do you rewrite everything, make summary sheets, turn things into flashcards, or use any tool to organize messy handwritten notes?
