M3 in clerkships here. Have to lock in my speciality in a month. My mindset was always to either dual apply or to do a derm research year and apply for derm as I am OOS in my med school and I want to go back home (NJ) for residency. I am still stuck between derm and the other speciality though. Was on the other speciality before med school and derm since start of M1 as my friends roped me in and I liked it.

All the red flags I collected so far (P in Peds due to Shelf, M3 derm elective preceptor said while I was professional I needed to get used to outpatient clinic more even though it was my very first rotation, and got a low grade in one of my OSCEs which due to its weight will lower my class rank) I am low on research (1 pub, 6 items in total) as all the projects I pursued either fizzled or are very longitudinal. I have done a good bit of volunteering though. I do have a decent network I made and worked with 2 other departments for things but that is it. Meanwhile as the other speciality I have less to worry about as it is less competitive and I have a SNMA position in it.

My parents, friends, and school say it is my decision but I hate that. I know theoretically I have time to get another project, grind for Hs and a 260+, and be in a better spot but I am not sure. I am also affected socially as some of my friends think I am pursuing the other specialty fully. I am also scared to not match as I know a few IM residents who didn’t match derm and are in limbo.

Will there be a retaliation towards Hybe groups and Kpop in general now because BTS will not submit? With the Asian voters they added it seems they were pulling from just the Kpop and Jpop industry.

My 21M brother believed he had ADHD due to the internet. He went to an NP of the same ethnicity. NP then gave him Adderall. This did not improve his grades or even his way of life. He would start spending frivolously. He would even double up on the Adderall and drink coffee as he believed he needed it more for exams. He would be fine until he had withdrawals after leaving his Adderall at home to a trip. He then picked up an SSRI from the same NP.

Later the next year he went to full psychosis. Thinking his phone is bugged and everyone is against him. My brother was taken to the psych ward at his internship site and they gave him risperidone but my dad rejected it as they don’t want more medications and believed the family can handle it if they take him home. He still goes through psychosis. When my mom questioned the NP’s judgement, brother said that he had so many degrees and that he is way smarter than her.

My family realize they cannot handle it so they find a MD close to him. He stated he had Adderall related psychosis and needed to take olanzapine for a few weeks. Brother stated he cannot take a night medication as he will forget so the doctor gave him haloperidol. Haloperidol has too much adverse effects for him so he refuses to take it. Still in psychosis somewhat and doesn’t want to go back home so the psychiatrist can prescribe the olanzapine.

If the NP didn’t prescribe the Adderall he would be fine now.

September 2nd, 2025: Dr. Adesanya was forced into a supply closet by an attending, Dr. Kenneth Fleishman, who told her, “Certain women deserve to be raped.” When she reported the incident to the hospital, they failed to protect her. Instead, she was asked if her scrubs were “too tight.”

December 12th, 2025: Dr. Adesanya was in good standing in her program; she received an excellent semi-annual evaluation with ZERO deficiencies noted.

December 22nd, 2025: Dr. Adesanya reported patient safety concerns, including a report involving a black suicidal teenage girl being discharged without a single antidepressant medication prescribed. After making these reports, she is threatened (person and career) by her assigned female supervising physician and told the patient’s family was “trashy.”

January 2026: Due to a last-minute scheduling conflict, the hospital scheduled the same male physician Busayo had reported for sexually assaulting her back in September, to supervise her during the first week of January. In a matter of days, he stated that he hoped both she AND her teenage female patient would be raped. And on January 2nd, 2026, he attempted to corner Dr. Adesanya again.

January 5th, 2026: she reported sexual harassment (again), patient safety concerns, and racial discrimination to her residency program leadership and is told that the “age of consent in North Carolina is 15 or 16 years old” and her reports are dismissed.

January 13th, 2026: the program votes to place her on probation, stating that she had developed THIRTEEN deficiencies when a month before they said she had none. The probation letter was riddled with racially charged language, such as accusing her of having an “attitude” and stating that she suddenly no longer had the knowledge level of a physician but only of a medical student. The probation letter also asserted that Dr. Adesanya, who is black, had a childhood and upbringing that would sabotage her ability as a psychiatrist. The hospital then decides to shockingly disclose her private health information in the probation letter without her consent and send it to the whole psychiatry department.

February 2026: HR tells Dr. Adesanya that despite her telling them about the male doctor’s sexual harassment, they did not investigate him, even after she told them the incidents were recorded on the hospital camera.

April 2026: The hospital, Cumberland County Mental Health in Fayetteville, NC, pressures Busayo to RESIGN FOUR TIMES. After she refuses the fourth time, the hospital stops paying her.

May 2026: Dr. Adesanya files a lawsuit against the hospital and male supervising physician. Board orders Dr. Adesanya to a mandatory PHP evaluation, which includes being drug tested. The Physician Health Program (PHP) is a program originally created to help rehabilitate for impaired physicians with drug and substance use disorders. Dr. Adesanya does not use illicit drugs or consume alcohol. Still, it wouldn’t matter– if Dr. Adesanya did not comply with the PHP order, she would have lost her medical license. The medical board stated they ordered her to the NC PHP due to “information” from the hospital she worked at.

June 4th, 2026: Dr. Adesanya provides documentation showing she is not impaired, and instead, was a victim of sexual assault. Then, the medical board does something completely unprecedented: they RESCIND THE PHP ORDER IN 24 HOURS. And issue a letter stating the order was “never necessary or warranted”, thanking Dr. Adesanya for her professionalism.

June 24th, 2026: Busayo files for a restraining order against the male doctor, so she can be safe at work.

June 30th, 2026: the hospital ends Dr. Adesanya’s residency contract without warning.

I was a AirPod Pro 1 user for like 6 years. They are bad now. Squeaking and stuff. My birthday came and I am an Apple shill so got the Max and the Pros. I wanted the Max for a whole year. Pro 3 were just a safe replacement for my old ones. I got the Max in Starlight at Walmart for $400. Not a great price despite the reduction. The Pro 3 are just half the price and are a great price point.

Sound
Max is slightly better in terms of sound. Noise cancelling on the Max isn’t as good as I thought. Pro 3 feel slightly better in this regard.

Comfortability
Max are initially more comfortable but Pro 3 have more versatility due to being able to use one Pod. The weight of the Max is non existent till it is. My traps starts to hurt like an hour into listening. I do get migraines often but the Max doesn’t trigger them. As for the Pros the regular buds hurt my ears so I have to downsize to the smaller ones.

Use Case
I am a medical student so I use my Pros to exercise in the school gym. I use my Max when I leave the parking garage and get to the wards that connects to it. I use both at home. Max while studying, Pros when going to sleep. I notice I use my Max more as I don’t work out often.

Taking Calls
Both are ass

New features (auto translate, etc)
Never used this feature yet. Will find out when I do my nails

I know I am in for a good time not a long time with the Max but it is so good. Wish it didn’t have its issues. The Pros are really good too but the Max fits my use case more.

Still in my first clerkship FM and got my first graded eval from very first rotation and it is bad. Had my midclerkship meeting and even the clerkship director was shocked and told me to appeal if I can. Differiental was a low point (fair), but everything else was off-base. HPI was low even though the resident said mine were very good. They ranked my teamwork and interpersonal skills low even though I never noticed any apprehension and issues. I wasn’t expecting this because the resident is meant to compile ratings from the staff while the comments seem very nitpicky and targeted. The resident did say they were on the spectrum and got bad comments on evals due to it so maybe they have a chip on their shoulder? Luckily another resident from the site will also give a graded eval but I just don’t want the smoke on my MSPE.

Usually people clown on group’s most recent releases which is pretty annoying as they clowned the group’s last release and then come back to say “what happened”. It has happened time and time again. So I really want to do this experiment.

Like the questions. I know you can spam emails for the 5 days trial for just the articles. But many in my school just use Uworld and paying $1200 isn’t great. I am going into my first rotation FM.
