Maybe listen twice.

I (32) was at the dentist today, and one of the young women who wasn't busy at the moment was talking about pizza rolls. She mentioned some other health brand being the best, but she didn't mention the brand name, so I would assume Amy's or Caulipower. Probably not relevant. She then turned to me and asked me if I like pizza rolls. I smiled and nodded. I didn't want to be disrespectful to the assistant (also a young woman) who was already presenting information to me, so that was the end of it.

So yeah, I'm wondering if that was a normal action, or if I should take that as an indication the she wanted to talk to me.

If you're still confused, I have low self-confidence, and I haven't been on a date since a breakup 8 years ago. I don't know what to make of interactions with women anymore. I always assume they aren't interested, because nobody likes a man who assumes a woman is interested when she isn't. I don't ever analyze the signs enough to realize they're interested until the interaction is over and they're gone. A few years ago there was a woman who was talking to me at my work, but right before I had accepted she was interested, and built enough confidence to ask if she'd like my number, she was gone. More recently, a 10/10 woman walked by me at goodwill while I was alone in an aisle staring at the items on a shelf. She smiled and said "hey" to me, but she looked to be around 20, so I didn't engage. Society has taught me that women don't smile and say "hey" to a guy who is alone if they don't want him hitting on them, so I'd like to think there's some hope for me. I consider myself a 6/10, but the way some women look at me for longer than what would be considered normal makes me feel like an 8/10, which happens about once a year. To be clear, I'm looking for a decent human being who won't mistreat me like my last relationship. If a woman does ever ask me out I will say yes, no matter how attracted I am to her. Being alone for 15 of last 18 years has taught me what's important, and what is needed for a lasting relationship.

I've been switching dentist's offices over the last couple years, but seemed to have finally settled on this one. I'll be going back in a week or so for some dental work. Plenty of time to think of something stupid and funny to say about pizza rolls, if that's merited.

I can't get either of them going. Haven't updated in a while so there should be one.
