I don’t understand why this new “spark only” ghost store has nothing buy 25-30+ mile offers
We recently had a spark driver only store open up here in Houston. It's actually like 45 min from Houston, in Katy. Anyway, looking at the trips from this store, they're ALL going 25-30 or more miles, in every single direction. Every order is quite literally passing by 15-20 closer stores...and I’m not exaggerating. The order contents are all very common grocery items, all express shops. Nothing special. It's fucking unreal. I just looked up this one customers address in the Walmart app to see if I could figure out why, and I don't even have this new ghost store as an option when selecting express delivery to their address. They ordered a 6 pack of coke...that's it. So it not like it's an inventory thing. The app gave me a list of 8 stores for their address, all are within 5 miles. The spark driver ghost store wasn’t even an option in this list. They must be intentionally diverting customers orders to this new location for some reason...but why? It would take an hour to shop and deliver this, when they could have it in 10-20min from any one of the 8 closer locations. Most of these trips take an hour or more to complete, and will leave you two zones away. If you’ve ever been to Houston, this place is absolutely MASSIVE. These offers will leave you in completely unfamiliar territory, unless you take the 40min drive back to the ghost store. This is just mind boggling to me.
