Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 Gen 3 vs Gen 4

Would you upgrade, and if you would, why? But if you wouldn’t, also why? Is it worth the upgrade? I have a 3rd and I use it for recording my own band and I am happy with it but I want to know the differences between it. I really enjoy the air mode and how clear guitar comes out on it and drums. Let me know why I should or shouldn’t upgrade.

Guitar sounds thin

So I’m in the process of recording and I used to use a 3rd gen Scarlett 18i20 but sold it and got the new fender quantum 16. So after using the new interface, my guitar is sounding thin, I mic it using a sm47. I don’t know if it’s in my head, but I think possibly the Scarlett didn’t have that issue? Any tips to get the guitar not to sound thin? I’m using a fender deluxe reverb with an American jaguar and Rickenbacker 330. I noticed with the Rick, it didn’t sound as thin. Did I make a mistake selling the Scarlett 18i20 and getting the Quantum lt16?

How to record live vocals for live video

I’m planning to record my band for a live video in my rehearsal space and I was wondering what are some ways to record live vocals to be able to hear as a band but also record into my computer. I use logic and I have a fender quantum 16. I do plan to just mic everything else up and set up cameras. Last time I did this, I used two mics, one for the PA system and the second mic was into my interface. Is there a way to use one mic that my band can hear but also record into my interface all in one? Thanks. Hope it makes sense.

What are the benefits of using it as a midi and how do I connect it midi via my MacBook and Logic Pro? What cable do I need to connect it. I have an interface(Scarlett18i20) I use that has midi as well. Recently I recorded a song using the pad but connected it using the headphone back to get the drum sound recorded into logic. Is that proper or is midi needed to record. Let me know if I’m recording it wrong.
