Front & Rear Dash Cam installed (pretty easy, just do it!)

I got the Fitcam X 4k dash cam front & rear for my 2019 R Design based on recommendations from this sub. I've had it nearly a year & FINALLY got around to installing it today. Took me about 2 hours. I watched a YouTube video. Went the route of pulling off all the necessary interior panels/parts, ran the cable, zip tied to the existing cable bundle, etc. Was rather easy, actually. I used (& recommend) an electrician's fish tape to save time & make things easier. App interface seems pretty good so -far. Posting for anyone on the fence about installing their own dash cam.

Why has Siri gotten so dumb??

iPhone user for 13+ years & I use dictation for many tasks. Siri or the AI cannot seem to understand suite versus sweet, that's just one example. I always have to manually correct my voice messages & memos before sending, I'd think that after doing this several times per week for the last 8 years (suite & sweet) it would've 'learned' this. Recently out of nowhere it started capitalizing the word 'cook' & then I have to manually edit/correct it. Also I have to manually correct 'Fein' to 'Feen' every time I text that person. It's been multiple times per week for several years. It's friggin 2026!! Why is this happening? How can I 'train' Siri???

Odd question: Giant round soup crackers

Anyone remember the large flat crackers that some RI/NE restaurants would serve with chowder/soup? They're discontinued but I think Nabisco made them...they would sit on top of an entire cup of soup & they were perforated so you could break them apart easier. The name 'Sea Toast' comes to mind. I just want to make sure I'm not making this up. Google shows an old (Keebler) tin but no images of the crackers themselves.

OnStream no longer working on Onn stick, seeking help

Does anyone know of a similar 'one stop' TV / movie app similar to OnStream (or the even better Cinema app)? I'm using the Onn stick, since my fire stick became rather obsolete for these add ons a few months ago. My other apps (Sportsfire & Streamfire) are still working fine on the Onn stick.

Can I lay a portable AC on its side for transport if I leave it upright for just as long before operating it (like a fridge)?

I need to transport a portable AC unit (about a 2 hour drive) & don't have the room to stand it up. Would that be fine to do if I keep it upright for just as long as it was down (or even overnight) to allow gravity to bring fluid/oil back in place before I use it? Any other tips I need to know?

Frigidaire oven not lighting & I can smell gas

It's Model # PLGF389CCC. I'm familiar with traditional gas appliances/commercial food equipment with thermocouples, etc. but not electronically ignited units. Could it be the igniter itself that needs replacing? The oven is 22 years old & has performed well almost daily in all that time. **I will add that power was out recently for an updated electrical meter install.

Replacing my faded front bumper number plate piece

Probably a more ambitious project than I should be handling but I'm deep into it now...I wrapped it with color matching pepper white vinyl (my first time wrapping anything, needs a little fine tuning). Will remove bumper to install.

Koda 12 no longer lighting with knob, piezo is clean

Really trying to solve this because when it was working it made great pizza! It stopped lighting with the knob/spark arrester. Pics show the piezo is close enough to the gas tube. I can feel a shock if I touch the piezo while engaging the igniter but there's no visible spark.
It's awkward to light by hand due to this model having the gas valve knob in the back and needing to feed a match or lighter into the front. Can anyone help?

I brought potted plants inside without anything underneath them

I realized a couple weeks after bringing these plants inside for the winter that I should have protected the floor (Oops!). I'm planning on lightly sanding and then trying to color match a stain unless anyone has a better solution. I haven't tried anything yet. It's my own house so there's no issues there. These circles are about 10" in diameter. I will not just cover with a rug, I will fix it.

Anyone know what 1125 Main Street in Pawtucket will become?

Huge building (Amazon fulfillment center size) being built where Mirofibers used to be (Between Moshassuck & Grenville Streets)?

Ok so I answered my own question while creating the post: It'll be a distribution center for lease...a 159,562 square foot 'industrial opportunity' is a huge endeavor so there must be a demand for it (?) Blackstone Distribution Center, or 1 Moshassuck Street, is ideally situated in Pawtucket, Rhode Island’s industrial hub. The property is located directly off Interstate 95, less than 3 miles from Providence and close in proximity to several other major routes allowing for easy distribution to leading regional cities.

Headlight restoration help, please!

Three years ago I had a 2007 R52 and successfully restored the headlights using fine grit, sandpaper (600, them 800, then 2000) wet sanded, then sprayed UV resistant clear coat… Now I have a 2017 F57 and trying to do the same thing with the same method… I had success with the R52 (blue) -see my before and after pics, but I fear I may have actually made the headlights worse on the F57 (pepper white)! -see those before and after pics, too...Any suggestions?

Wings on the Performer with my bootleg Vortex

My first time cooking wings like this. Started with a full chimney of Kingsford briquettes which maintained a temp of 400°, the cook took just under an hour. The grill stayed at 400 for another hour+ after that! (I was curious how long it could keep temp).

Bacon-Wrapped Chicken Legs on the 22" Performer

Seasoned with garlic & chives, wrapped in smoked bacon. I used my homemade 'Vortex' (just a cheap Job Lot SS bowl that I cut with a Dremel tool) which held temp at about 310°-340° F while covered. I decided to protect the exposed bone with foil to keep them from burning / getting brittle. I made a quick molasses-based BBQ glaze for basting once the internal temp was at about 160° F (I hate the texture of the tougher leg tendons so I pulled them with surgical hemostat clamps, time consuming but worth it. Also, I cook legs until really well done to help break down any tendons, too). The cook took just under an hour. Results were very tender & juicy with just the right amount of crispness.

How best to cut up an 8x10 seagrass rug for disposal

I'm tossing out my seagrass rug but local ordinance needs it cut into 3'-4' sections. Anyone know how best (what tool) to cut it easier than a serrated kitchen knife or a utility knife?

What's happening at Cindy's Diner?

I noticed the diner itself was draped in black fabric yesterday and then hours later, after sunset, it looked like filming was taking place. Lots of canopies in the lot, police detail at the entrance, etc. Anyone know anything about this?
