Help!! I’m very new to bass.

I (15M) just got my first bass (a Glarry) two days ago, and have played for about 5 hours in total. Ive been watching some Bassbuzz and following their guides, and they’re helping, but I’m still stuck on a few things. Fretting, muting, and sliding are really hard for me, and I was wondering if you guys had any exercises for getting better at those. I also want to be able to play Roundabout by Yes sometime in the near future (6 or so months) Is that a possible goal, and is there anything I should practice to be able to start now?

My Top 49!

These are all albums I hold near and dear to my heart, as they were either critical in shaping how I view music as an art form, were introduced to me by a loved one, or were things I listened to growing up that I rediscovered. It is in order from my favorite to least favorite, but I love all of them! Does anyone have any recommendations based on my taste?

Toph, the First Eggbender!

https://moxfield.com/decks/_u67YFVgTUWwqePgxt8Sgg

A deck I’ve been crafting for 8 months now, super proud of it! I utilize Toph’s ability to use busted land sac effects that are normally unplayable on eggs, and then recur them with her second line of text allowing me to earthbend. I can infinitely stall until I win with Constant Mists or Stasis Coffin, mill or burn out with altar of the brood and sabotender, or make tokens with titania

Building a Vaazi Deck, is Land Denial Okay?

Building a [[Vaazi, Keen Negotiator]] group slug(?) deck. I got to the idea of using MLD (mass land denial) to force my opponents to use the treasures I give them. Not really denying them mana, rather making their mana usage benefit me. I’ve talked to one player in my group about this and he didnt have any objections, but he tends to like to go as hard as I do in games. What do you guys think, is it a dick move or a cool tech piece?

Heres the list so far, but I’m still building it: https://moxfield.com/decks/e-MKiF3uW0ifnwQBJWVCTg

Returning to cEDH after a long break, can I get some help updating my list?

https://moxfield.com/decks/kRTgqI9KpU-n8KzQweN-_g

Hey everyone,

I've been out of cEDH for quite a while and I'm trying to get back into the format. Before I start buying cards or making random changes, I'd love some feedback from people who have been keeping up with the meta.

I was running the food chain deck linked above.

A few things:

  • I haven't played cEDH in years, so I'm pretty out of touch with the current metagame.
  • I'm not attached to any particular card choices outside of the core gameplan.
  • I'm open to both budget and non-budget suggestions.
  • I'd rather hear why certain cards are outdated than just get a pile of swaps.

What I'm mainly looking for:

  1. Which cards in the list are considered obsolete or too slow in today's meta?
  2. What staples or new printings have become auto-includes since I stopped playing?
  3. Are there any major shifts in interaction packages, tutors, mana bases, or win conditions that I should be aware of?

I realize "I haven't played in forever" is pretty vague, but assume my knowledge of the format is roughly from the era when Blue Farm was dominating, RogThras was having a resurgence, and Ral was on the up swing.

Any advice, sample lists, tournament results, or primers I should read would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

EDIT: THIS WAS BEFORE GAME CHANGERS AND UNBANNINGS! Forgot to clarify that, sorry guys.
