Okay so I'm (19F) and I've never really thought about kids until I asked a classmate what her future looked like and she said "uni, marriage then kids" I know I'm young but my parents already expects me to have children by the time I'm in my 20s (the same age they had me) worse I'm their oldest and my sister is almost a decade younger than me I feel added pressure about giving then grandkids.

I come from an ethnic household so having kids is expected of me but I've never really thought about them before and could go with or without them. My mother says my life is my own and I should live it but her face betrays her whenever I talk about kids or see her watching grandparent videos.

Ofc I know raising kids isn't easy I get really frustrated when I even wash dishes but I always have thoughts about what if I meet the right guy or what of I change my mind and once more I know that I'm young but with how my parents talk about the future you'd think I turn 30 next week and it's always at the back of my mind
