How long is to long to wait in between turns?
I was told to pause turning until I’m able to see my ortho. My question is how long can you wait in between turns before the suture starts to heal or you stall progress?

I need advice from those of you who have been through a MARPE. Sorry for the long-winded post, but I want to give as much information as possible.
I started a custom 6-TAD MARPE along with piezo on July 9th. I was instructed to do 2 turns a day until I saw the split, then send pictures in to verify and get further instructions. My ortho is out of state, which is the reason for not going in to verify.
Eight days later, I noticed that floss had gotten loose between my front two teeth, and on the 9th day, I had a visible gap of about 1/2 mm. While this was happening, I also had pretty bad pain in my palate and nose.
I sent the photo to my ortho on the 10th day because this was over a weekend, and she confirmed that I had split. She told me to change the turning protocol to 1 turn per day until my appointment on August 6th, which would be another 10 days.
During those 10 days, my front tooth gap did not get much larger, but I did get gaps between my other front teeth. I also had new pain in the rear of my palate that was very bad after a turn the day before my appointment. I believe the rear suture had possibly just opened.
At my appointment, my ortho thought that I should have had a bigger gap than I did and recommended that I reduce my turns to once every other day. She told me to follow up with her in a month, and if my progress was not better, a new MARPE would be created. I’m guessing a heavier-duty one with possibly more TADs.
I turned another 4 times after seeing her, and the front gap was still about the same, but the other teeth beside it had a little more gap.
I was curious if that was normal, so I sent an email with pictures to my ortho. She told me to stop turning and that I would need to come in for a CBCT scan and records again. This is just one week and 4 turns after I was told to come back in a month.
I’m really confused and hate to abandon this after just one month.
If I add up all the turns I’ve done so far, it comes out to around 35 turns. These are not full revolutions, just one turn of the wrench. Some were bigger than others due to the position of the wrench.
I will attach pictures of the day it was installed and what it looks like today. I do have some tooth flaring, and I don’t know if that’s the reason she wants to abandon this MARPE or not.
Please give me your opinions based on the experiences you’ve had.
I started marpe last Thursday so it’s been 9 days. I am supposed to do two turns per day until see a gap or split. Then call in for further instruction. Unfortunately I split last night and the office is closed until Monday.I’m doubting I should continue with two turns a day now. What was your turn procedure after you got your split?
For those of you using a reverse pull facemask. What size and oz elastics are you using?

I would like to buy or rent a crane face mask. Willing to pay top dollar. Getting marpe installed in two weeks so I will need it soon.

Like the title says looking for a provider that places marpe and does piezo with anesthesia or some sort of sedation. I’m nervous as hell about doing it with only numbing shots. I’m in the south but wiling to travel anywhere.
