I’m marching snare this year, and my current earplugs are the free ones from the expo tent at WGI finals. They work, but they muddy my snare line’s sound a bit and make it harder for me to listen in. What earplugs are out there that don’t block out those higher frequencies? What ones do you guys use?

I have some small chips on a morakniv that I want to sharpen out, but this would be my first time sharpening a scandi. Is there anything I should know or do different? I’m using a worksharp precision adjust base model with a few upgrades to limit flex.

I’m curious as to whether or not one’s MTBI type has any correlation with the genres of music they like, and specifically if INTP’s tend to gravitate towards any specific genres. Personally, I like rock, punk, metal, grunge, EDM, and occasionally some lyrical hip-hop.

Feels glass-like. Relatively heavy for its size. It’s hard to see on camera but there are small gold specks in some areas.
I’m worried that the weakened part might be dangerous or snap soon.
Life has been shitty for the past year and today was the last straw. I’ve been fine for quite a long time now but over the last few months I’ve been wanting to give in more and more. I feel like I’d rather go back acknowledging my depression and have the satisfaction of finally being back in a familiar place. What thoughts keep you going when this happens? How do I stave off the urges when they are so persistent over a long period of time?
I’m just so fucking done with my life and feel like it would be so much better if I went back to sh. Hell I’d rather be dead rn but I don’t have the energy to do anything about that, so this is the next best thing. Trying desperately to convince myself otherwise, and I guess my question is, what do you guys do to deal with this horrible devil’s advocate pessimism?
