Well, it's been a year

Since I first played Enderal, and I'm still thinking about it constantly!

Never before have I been to absorbed by a games lore, characters and story. It was all so beautiful and I wish I could experience it for the first time again. I still can't believe that my favourite game is technically a free mod for a much shittier game. I've been listening to the amazing soundtrack a lot while studying for university exams and I think the music might be one of my very favourite parts of the game.

I recently read Nicolas books as well, parting with Jespar has been hard. But I can't wait to see what his team gets up to in regards to the game they're developing!

I went on vacation with my partners family. It was a terrible mistake and now I am stuck here until the end of the week

When my partner asked if I wanted to go on a vacation with his father and him and I realized I could take the time off I was excited about it because they visit the mountains every once in a while when they can and I had never been before. Walking around in nature sounded exhausting but very fun and rewarding. But after I said I'd come too, his mother decided she wanted to join as well. I should have known by this point that I would come to regret my choice because his parents are always fighting and incredebly exhausting to be around when they are in the same vicinity. By themselves I do like both of them, just not together. And not for a week straight in the same house. But I figured I'm just needlessly nervous and besides, I wouldn't have been able to explain my sudden backing out tactfully.

We arrived on sunday, so I'm only three days in, but I am already completely exhausted and homesick. The scenery here is beautiful and I had a lot of fun hiking so far, but his parents and their constant arguing is driving me up the wall. I'm an introvert to begin with and shared the backseat of the car with his mom who is constantly talking or asking me questions, it's a lot! Plus she revealed she doesn't really like this kind of vacation (she had been before) and basically only came along for family bonding, which neither me, my partner of his dad are really here for. She is constantly speaking for me because she thinks I'm too scared to voice my own opinion and I don't know how to make her understand how to stop. And that I'm not much of a conversationist. Plus, and I'm ashamed to even spell this out, I feel like her breath smells a bit and I am very, very sensitive about smells, so it's hard for me not to turn my head away rudely.

Besides, the bed is uncomfortable so I'm sleeping like shit, I've been a bit sick ever since we got here and everything just feels like too much. I wish I could just recover in peace and quiet for a little while. I'm definitely never tagging along on a multiple day journey again, I just know that it would inspire his mother to come as well and I don't think I could gracefully handle it again. I don't even know how to make it through the week, I already almost cried after a particularly loud and stressful and nausea inducing (because of the roads) car ride yesterday and only just managed to choke down my oncoming emotions when they all got near.

Dinner is a dark chocolate oat cookie I originally bought for the 8 hour car ride here

Edit: I realize it might not sound like it because of how I phrased it, but of course I have told the mom to please not speak for me multiple times before in the years I've known her, she's just the kind of person who doesn't take no for an answer if she thinks she knows what's best for you... its never been much of an issue seeing her for a couple hours at a time, but it's very exhausting now because everyone is always constantly fighting and I'm just trying to keep a tiny semblance of peace.

Did I receive faulty shoes?

Hello, I recently ordered these penny loafers after eyeing them for awhile. I was very excited for them to get here, but after taking them out of the box today I feel like they look very off compared to the photos online. I haven't worn them yet and as you can see in the photos, they are very heavily creased to the point where they seem discolored in some places. Is this normal or should I see if I can get them returned? I know that leather will crease with time and I don't mind that ususally, but the color change fresh out of the box is throwing me off.

Hallo zusammen,
