Looking for new writer friends :)

Hello everyone! I'm 24F and have been writing since I was a teenager, and it's something that genuinely has brought me so much joy in my life that I have always loved sharing it. That's why I'm looking for some new people to talk about writing with and maybe even become friends!

I'd love to find people to talk to, so we can bounce ideas off of each other, share our lores and plots, and also read some of each other's work for fun :)

If you're interested, feel free to shoot me a DM!

Thank you for reading and have a nice day/night.

Looking for writing/accountability buddies!

Hello all! I am Mimo, and I'm looking for one or more writing and accountability buddies. The goal would be that we'd keep each other accountable on writing and advancing on our respective projects, share what we've written, and just generally work together. English is not my first language and I have just recently started writing my very first project in English and I am looking for someone who could help me improve on my sentences, grammar, and such.

I'm looking for someone (or a small group) with whom I'd be able to share my progress, get constructive feedback and criticism, keep me accountable to continue writing and who will allow me to do the same for them! I'm fine doing this with multiple people in a small group, or just one on one if this happens to be more comfortable for you!

Genre/s: Anything really, I'd be happy to delve into any universe! I am a Fantasy writer.

Goals/Expectations/Commitment: As said before, being kept accountable, sharing feedback, and encouraging one another 😄

Writing/Experience Level: I am not a native English speaker, and have recently started writing my first project in English, but I have been writing in my native language for a while now. Any level on the other end is fine!

Meeting Place: Discord! But you can contact me via DM first if you're interested after reading this post

Max Size: I'd say like 4-5 people. But as a I said, just one on one discussion is perfectly fine.

[Complete] [110k] [Fantasy] The Unburial

Hello everyone! I'm happy to report that I have recently finished the second draft to my fantasy novel The Unburial, and am looking for some beta readers to help be get some feedback I could base my editing and rewriting process on in the near future!

Quick blurb :

Phoenix has spent her life hiding and resenting her abilities as a Polymorphic Channeler, convinced that the magic she cannot muffle makes her dangerous and is what drove her family to abandon her. But when Surma, the banished God of Death, is awakened beneath Concord University and the dead begin to rise from their graves across the world, Phoenix discovers that the condition she has always despised may be the only thing capable of giving the dead the peace they seek.

Forced into an alliance with Vampires, who become her first true companions, Phoenix must confront something she has never known: relying on others. How could she, who spent her life alone, come to terms with the idea that help could come from the outside? As Surma seeks to be heard and to restore the forbidden practice of necromancy, Phoenix must decide if saving the dead requires sacrificing the living, including herself.

Is sacrifice the only form of help she can bring to those she loves? And does sacrifice really mean anything when Phoenix begins to suspect that death may no longer be hers to claim?

What I look for in terms of feedback :

- English is not my first language, so any sort of advice and corrections for grammar is really appreciated!

- Are you hooked with the story ?

- How are the characters, are their characterizations good? Are they coherent?

- Did you ever feel confused about anything? How can I make it clearer?

- And really ANY other feedback you wish to give me.

If you'd be willing to give me some of your time reading my second draft, shoot me a DM! And I'd also be happy to swap stories!

Have a good day/night, and thanks for reading!

[Complete] [73k] [Fantasy] The Unburial

Hello everyone! I'm happy to report that I have recently finished the first draft to my fantasy novel The Unburial, and am looking for some beta readers to help be get some feedback I could base my editing and rewriting process on in the near future!

Quick blurb :

To Phoenix, her life was all set. She would continue to study until she would grow tired of it, become a professor, and spend all her time locked inside of Concord University, the sole place she had ever felt comfortable calling home.

But it was all shaken up when the dead woke up, invading every space with their limping bodies and otherwordly voices begging to be released from their torment. At the heart of the chaos, Phoenix struggles to find a rhyme and reason for the outbreak alongside her enigmatic professor, Lucian. Together, they must confront the familiar faces of those they have lost, the buried secrets of necromancy, and a divine entity that only seeks to be heard.

What I look for in terms of feedback :
