

Mind Sports Olympiad starts this Saturday in London – free to spectate (chess, Catan, Wingspan, Carcassonne, 7 Wonders, Backgammon World Champs + more)
Quick heads-up for anyone in or near London:The 30th Mind Sports Olympiad runs 22–30 August at the Mercure Hotel in Earls Court (SW6).It’s a big multi-day event with tournaments across a huge range of games, including:
- Catan (classic + Cities & Knights + new 2-player)
- Wingspan
- Carcassonne
- 7 Wonders
- Ticket to Ride
- Azul, Splendor, Dominion and many more modern board games
- Plus classic mind sports: chess (FIDE rapid/blitz), Scrabble, poker, Sudoku/puzzles, and the World Team & Individual Backgammon Championships
There’s also the Pentamind for the best all-rounder.Open to all ages and skill levels. Medals in every event.
