Posting on behalf of girlfriend. She is 24f, 140 pounds, 5 ft 8 in, doesn't smoke.

Tonight, I picked her up from the airport. She went on a roller coaster last night. Shortly after we got home, she all of a sudden was in pain while we were eating. The pain was in her back, in/around ribs, both sides. This was not in the same area and not the same pain as her spinal fusion from 6 months ago.

She could barely move, laying down hurt, and she was crying. The pain would come in waves. One second she described it as the most painful thing she's ever experienced, the next second it was less so. A bath didn't help. My immediate thought was kidney stones as this is how a friend described their experience with stones.

The pain started around 10 pm. It's now 2 am as I write this and she hasn't peed/had to pee once in that time.

She took tizanidine to see if that would help. 30 minutes later she took 7.5 mg hydrocodone. These were left over from her spinal fusion.

We went to the ER, described her symptoms, and told them the medication she took prior. I didn't want her to self diagnose and we never mentioned kidney stones. I had read that roller coasters can help dislodge stones. When the doctor asked if she did anything that might've caused back pain, she mentioned the roller coaster, and I was hoping the doctor would think of kidney stones.

She got a shot of toradol. The doctor said there was no need to X-ray or whatever and that the pain is probably from traveling, the airplane seat, not sleeping in her usual bed, the roller coaster...

She's traveled many times and has been on dozens of flights and has been on plenty of intense coasters. This wasn't no uncomfortable seat situation, and she knows the difference between muscle pain and whatever this was.

Is this standard care from ER doctors? Should we have not gone to the ER? Did our care get sabotaged because we mentioned she took old hydrocodone?

Probably unrelated, yesterday she heard ringing in one ear all day, had a nose bleed, and then had another nose bleed today on the plane.

I have a Samsung UN65NU8000. I specifically bought this TV for Red Dead Redemption 2 with a PS4 Pro in 2018.

I plan on getting a PS5 Pro for GTA6. Do you think I'll be missing out on anything visually? Better blacks would be nice. I don't want OLED, so perhaps QLED is the next best thing? 55 or 65 inch preferred. Can I get something good in the $500 range?
