Floating lotus tray for my mini terrarium

After making a side table attachment for my floor lamp, I realized the space right under the lampshade was prime real estate for a plant display.

I designed a secondary tray with an organic petal/lotus shape in Fusion 360, specifically recessed to hold my mini glass terrarium.

Build Details:

2. Lighting Effect: Resting directly under the shade gives the sheet moss, sieved soil, and stone staircase inside the terrarium a cozy, ambient glow without needing a separate desk grow light.

3. Print Details: Modeled in Fusion 360 and printed in Matte PLA on a Bambu Lab P1S to match the lamp's finish.

Here’s a quick clip of the design, assembly, and final lit setup:

Designed a floating tray for my floor lamp

Hey everyone! I’ve been learning CAD in Fusion 360 over the past few months and wanted to share my first major project.

Living in a rented apartment, I have one of those standard single-pole floor lamps right by the couch. I really needed a side table spot for my evening tea, remotes, or alarm clock, but didn't want to lose any additional floor space. Now it holds my evening tea, clock, and small decoratives sturdy with zero issues!

Design & Manufacturing Breakdown:

1. Designed in Fusion 360

2. Added a parametric/embossed wood grain texture to the top surface so it looks like a natural wooden tray rather than bare plastic.

3. For the mounting system I split the circular tray into two halves so it can slide around the pole, locking together onto the lamp.

4. Printed in beige matte PLA on my Bambu Lab P1S.

I want to buy Vernier Caliper for 3D printing purpose, to accurately measure stuff before modelling.
I have tried two calipers from Amazon but returned because they weren't of adequate quality. One digital and one analog. I saw issues like, the jaws weren't parallel, loose fit of sliding gauge, not returning to zero.
Please help me buy a good quality vernier calipers. I prefer analog and within 1.5k price range.
