Which one? Also I know it's kinda chopped but

What's wrong with the car? 2007 Toyota yaris.

I just brought a car a few months ago, and I've had to put a new alternator, timing belt and radiator in.

So 2 months ago the coolant light came on in my car and my car started overheating. I changed the freeze plugs, water pump, thermostat, all rusted bolts, coolant reservoir, radiator, everything is new except the engine it's self! I've taken it to 4 mechanics and I'm 3000 down the hole and it's been barely 5 months! Yesterday I went to pick it up because the mechanic said there was a rusted broken bolt that was leaking coolant and a small slit in my reservoir and he repaired it all and it still overheated and the light came on. He bled it correctly and everything but it stills overheating.

I know what you're thinking that it could be a busted head gasket? Nope! They've already eliminated that being the case based on the oil, no tailpipe smoke and checking

Any idea what's wrong?

▲ 8 r/Target

I was never trained.

I've learned so much working for target these past 2 years and one of those is that I was never trained.

So when I started in August of 2024 basically both my team leads were on leave for 6 months and 5 months and my HR never set me up to have someone train me. Never told me how to do anything, never communicated, never nothing. When I asked I was told I would and then never did. I would ask leads but they'd tell me it's hr problem, id tell hr and they'd tell me it's another problem 😒

So Everything I've learned about guest service, front end period and grocery is from reddit, monitoring other people working and figuring it out myself. And it's so frustrating because when I didn't know something and would get in trouble they'd hold me accountable and tell me I told no one but I did! I spoke to several leaders about my anxiety and confusion and lack of training.

It just goes to show how truly fucked this company is to its staff. I try so hard whenever we get a new TM I try to run them down on everything so they don't get in trouble for not knowing things. I didn't even know we had benefits if someone dies close to you! I lost my dad last year and my store told me I needed to figure it out or I'd be fired and I called the benefits hotline and THEY told me about FMLA but never the benefits for death. I just learned about grievances.

It's just alot I didn't know and id mention or ask questions and get no answer or told to figure it out myself + threatening to fire me. And it's just so much you know?

And they blame TM for so much at my store. TARGET is not being boycotted because of the TMs specifically theirs so much more that goes into it but also if corporations are treating ETls like shit they're gonna treat their TLs like shit and HR then TLs and HR treat TMs like shit and it's just a chain of nonsense.

Anyway what do y'all think? If you need anymore context I can give!

AITA for not really investing time into my dad's health?

So I made a post yesterday about a situation and it was understood and helped me so much! I grew up with my mom completely cutting me off socially. Me and my 5 siblings weren't allowed to make friends, leave the house, or taught anything academically. My first physical interactions with a human being since grade 3 was my ex boyfriend. When I turned 17.

This being said I never understood boundaries with anyone in my family. When it came to therapy my family would shame me and tell me I thought I was better than them, when I would tell them no or tell my mom I'm not gonna keep being manipulated shed turned everyone in the house against me and she did this to all of us.

My dad has never been in my life, he randomly showed up to my house because he worked as a debt collector and somehow found my grandpa's address and spontaneously showed up out the blue 6 years ago to beg me to give him my kidney to which I didn't do 🫩

My dad got heart failure 6 years ago as well and has been declining ever since because he doesn't take his medications, and completely eats terrible which caused him later to get diabetes.

Id call my dad, I even took 2 weeks off to go to GA to visit him, drove down there my first week getting a car and license! While working full time, I also called the hospital everyday to make sure he was getting the proper care and even looked into him being transferred to my state so I can help more. But my dad's bipolar, disowns me and crashes out a lot. And I understand bipolar but if he takes no medication by choice and I'm telling him his crash outs are negatively affecting me. I have to distant myself.

Of course my parents are insane narcissist that think they do no wrong so I explained to him how he was wrong and he didn't take it well so now I completely distant myself.

Is it wrong after all these years of me being alive 23 years old that I should talk to my dad? I have developed a lot of mental issues from my parents abuse growing up and I'm now trying to protect and fix myself so I don't unleash these behaviors on my kids as I get older. That's all. Am I the asshole?

AITA, for not taking my mom to the ER?

So, I work in the retail. Very demanding job and my job just created an all new policy for attendance. I haven't spoke to my mom in about 4 days and she went to her friends daughter's house. I random get a text from the friends daughter at 7pm at night saying " hey can you take your mom to the hospital in Raleigh if she drives up there? " Might you my location is about 20 minutes from hers, and my mom claimed she couldn't really drive herself.

My mom has a history of literally not giving a crap about anyone but herself. She's extremely narcissistic but I still help. So I have work today at 8am for 10 hours. A long double shift I'm pulling and so I said " I can take her as long as she hurry and get here because I have work, I might also take my car and follow behind hers so I can get to work" I've been almost fired behind my mom not prioritizing my priorities so just to make sure I wanted to take my car if they kept her.

My mom doesn't contact me, or my sister, or the girl for 2 hours. I randomly get a text at 11 almost during an INSANE rain storm that they were about 15 minutes away, which is completely disrespectful to me, I stay at my boyfriend's mom house and she just decides to pull up. Still I said okay I'd take her even though I got NO communication. She also told me before she left through the friend she might change her mind she doesn't know. So this is insane to me.

So after all of this nonsense, I told her calmly I will go but can I follow behind you In my car? The hospital 15 minutes away. She got an attitude and left. Proceeded to go back to the friend. Tell a bunch of lies and claim that I was being a terrible daughter to her, this morning the friend is texting me paragraphs about my mom like she's not my mom??

On top of this my mom has no car, she drives my grandpa's car and hasnt talked to neither my grandpa or aunt ( who's watching her two other kids ) to give them any updates as to where she was or doing.

Am I the asshole here? Or is it a good boundary? It's my first time posting here so give me any tips
