Titan Noir Max eARC AVR Input Select

i'm a bit surprised/disappointed that there is no built in input switching in the tnm for HDMI CEC devices(devices plugged into the AVR like ps5, Apple TV etc). this works great on my sony bravia tv, but with the TNM i have to use the AVR remote to change inputs. the input button on the xgimi remote is a little puzzling as well, i end up having to use the settings button to get to the input selection. just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same with not being able to select input devices coming over that CEC connection to the AVR in the projector or if there’s an issue on my end.

Has anyone had any success with signing release authorization online?

have this package that requires a signature. on my UPS app, there is no option to sign for it before delivery, but on PC, the option is there. i clicked on it and picked the location for dropoff and got a "delivery instructions applied successfully" message on the next page.

when i go back to my choice, the same "sign now" button is still there, nothing shows that i have signed for the package already here. BUT if i look up the tracking number outside of My Choice, it does show that the shipment release was authorized.

I tried checking with support to confirm and they are saying that it is not signed for release yet and will not be dropped off unless someone is home to sign for it.

has anyone run into these weird glitches with signing online? feels like its a toss up if it will be delivered or not with me not being home lol

TNMs Are Starting to Ship Out!

Just checked my ups account and saw a tracking notification for a package that requires a signature. Based on the weight I think this is the Titan noir max. Excited to finally get it after months of following along!

EDIT: Picked up by UPS today 6/25. Looking like 7/1 delivery

Couch/Sectional Recs?

For those that didn’t do traditional theater seating, what did you go with? I think the wife and I agreed we’d use the space more if we had a couch/sectional vs theater seating. Looking for comfy and good for all day lounging

Omni Fiber Experience

For anyone that has Omni fiber as their ISP.

Omni just showed up in my neighborhood and offer faster speeds and better prices, but I have two concerns:

  1. My current isp allows me to connect from the ONT straight to my UniFi router without any problem. Would this also be the case with Omni?

  2. Other concern is I would be on CGNAT. Currently have a public IP that seems to change every few months, but is definitely not CGNAT as I no longer have any port forwarding issues that I had with previous ISPs who used CGNAT. Does anyone know if Omni uses CGNAT?

Dulles Lounge Frustration

Finally had a connection long enough in Dulles to try out the C1 Lounge. I also have the CSR(probably downgrading to CSP once I hit my renewal date), so since I was landing in C gates and only had an hour before boarding, I tried the Etihad lounge in A first.

I get to the Etihad lounge and the wait is an hour long. Yikes. Thankfully, I had joined the waitlist for C1 when I got off the plane in case Etihad was full.

Get off the train at the main terminal/d/h/z gates and start heading towards z gates. Got the text that it was my turn right as I was walking up the escalator from the platform. It says the lounge can be accessed from Z gates. Great, I’ll be there soon. Get up to the top and see a sign for Z gates. Keep walking and start to get worried because I don’t see any sign of a lounge and get all the way to the end of Z. The clock is ticking for my reservation so I hurry back to the main area.

Took a few elevator rides up to the second level and didn’t see much. Went back down and walked towards the security checkpoint, started panicking because I saw exit doors out of the airport. Stopped, looked up and behind me and saw the lounge . There was a big “DO NOT ENTER” on the stairs to security so I figured I couldn’t walk up that way. So I turn back try and find a nearby elevator, find one but it only goes down. Turn around and finally notice an elevator with signs all around it for the Capital One Lounge.

Made it in with about 1 min left before my reservation expired! Nice lounge but damn was it a pain to find. Felt like I was lost in the backrooms. Denver lounge and Las Vegas lounges are the other C1 lounges I’ve been to and I thought both were better food wise and space wise.

TLDR: C1 Lounge in Dulles is hard to find, maybe I’m an idiot but I legitimately haven’t felt this lost in a long time

Was wondering the best way to rough-in recessed 4" wafer lights. It's the style with a separate junction box with a pigtail connector to the actual light, so in theory i could wire up all the boxes now before drywall. Or i could just leave romex slack at each light location and install the boxes after drywall is up.

I have marked all the light locations on the floor with a laser, so it should be easy to cut the holes, just wondering if there's any downside to putting the boxes up there now with a bit of slack on the cables?
